Re: Light Rail Systems And Routes In Other Cities

We need Dave to give us a summary of his thoughts on The Hop. I'm mildly skeptical because its a couplet with a directional change (N/S to E/W) but I also don't really know the layout of Milwaukee. It just causes me to think of Cincy which has struggled. Yes, being semi-familiar with their downtown...

Re: OFFICIAL - The Gallerie (27th & Gillham)

The townhomes are now being marketed. August 2019 completion date. It looks like they are all listed at $395k for 3 bed, 3 bath, 1,549 sq ft. Where are you seeing that Aug 2019 completion date? 9.5 months out seems like a lot of time especially since the foundations and ground floor slabs are alrea...

Re: KCMO Downtown Streetcar

Official policy has always been to only stop when requested if there is no one waiting at the stop. I know, but it’s actualky never happened when I’ve been on the streetcar. Always every stop. The first time I took my folks on the streetcar, it zipped right past the stop in front of Anton's. I was ...

Re: Amazon searching for second HQ

=D> Yeah I'm not an activist shopper and will tend to do what's convenient/practical but developing a distaste for Amazon - have been on/off with Prime, not renewing again. Some alternatives are newegg.com ($50 membership/3 day shipping/zero restocking fees), ebay, shoprunner.com, shopping.google.co...

Re: Politics

KS has a history of DEM governors that has never translated to DEM senators let alone a DEM president. KS will vote Trump in 2020.

Re: Politics

I think Florida is lost. If they couldn't go blue this year what will change in 2020? Ohio has a chance since Brown got reelected statewide, but will be difficult as the gop will control all of the statehouse. Iowa will be difficult for the same reason. Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania will do ...

Re: Politics

I dunno...I think everyone that got dog whistled voted in 2016.

I give some folks a pass for voting for him in 2016, change, Hillary, blah blah blah. I think a certain percentage of those folks realize they made a mistake.

Pretty sure the airport will not be a wood structure.

Wood finishes with lots of daylight seem like a good combo after the current KCI.

Re: We need a new airport!!!

While I think most of these issues would have happened to whoever got the bid, there is something to say for PR and getting in front of stories.

The Star hype was pretty quickly shot down by the internet, to the point that their article seemed to be backtracking on its headline.
