There was a trademark issue with Oklahoma Joe's Lofts, so they had to change the name.

The loop will be capped when the sun sets in the south/southeast, during pleasant weather – even though it may coincide with hell freezing over.

Re: Plaza move-ins (ongoing)

earthling, your pro urban fellow penpals are not discouraging it, they are just being realistic. CVS isn't going to abandon what they likely are at least part owner of, a few blocks away and with their own generous parking lot, to put tons of money into a new space that is the highest rent around. A...

This is a stupid conversation. The Plaza owners could care less if you forgot your toothbrush. Use your finger.

Re: Plaza move-ins (ongoing)

why don't they go after CVS or Walgreens if they would fill a space and pay steady rent? My point is, maybe they have already approached them. And there are many factors. Stores like that have a guidelines for choosing locations. Everyone bitching about not having one of these 2 stores on the Plaza...

Re: Plaza move-ins (ongoing)

Sweet Jesus! Do not kid yourself. Plaza owners are not hand-picking specialty stores to build some unique, conceptual retail paradise. They have payments and debts and leasing agents and they are going to get that shit signed as soon as possible. Yeah, they may have some ideal clients and they won't...

This is one of the more bizarre pages I've seen. The photos are all so good but I especially like that out of focus, low contrast image near the bottom. Very artfulterra-y.

Re: Phase 2 streetcar to UMKC

Of course I agree that Sherry, Bill and the rest of these Westport "anti's" are fools, but I worry about the bitchy responses from some of the streetcar advocates. "Bring it on" and boycott threats will not help our cause and I worry that division will only weaken our efforts. A better response woul...

Re: P&L District: 12th & Main Site Proposal

Mi Cocina was great. Their drinks were pricey but packed a helluva a punch. The margaritas, mambo taxis and mambo limos were very good icey concoctions that would give you a head ache if you drank them too fast and then knock you on your ass. 2 was just right and 3 were way too many. Their food was ...
