Re: Phase 2 streetcar to UMKC

Will we see numbers start to trickle in, or are all ballots sealed until the election?

Re: OFFICIAL - Atlas Lofts (formerly Berlau Paper House)

I remember rumor that these were going to be condos. That appears to not be the case? Is there any plan for them to convert in the future? These look like something I would like to purchase.

Re: Bannister Mall/Cerner

The Cerner CEO seems completely oblivious to benefits of being in the city and may just see a parking problem as many suburban car dependent minded do. Would love to see him backtrack as well but city leaders also want something to happen for SKC and they view this project as the ticket. Only chanc...

The building has been open less than a year and has been filled up since its opening. I'm confused by what you mean by this statement.

Re: Bike Lanes

Thanks for the suggestions, we saw the path going up where wyandotte goes under 31st. Will try riding around there this weekend and exploring the options. I wish main or broadway had a safer option.

Re: Bike Lanes

So we just moved to midtown, and work in the crossroads. Been looking for a bike lane, but can't seem to find a safe route. Google is recommending main, which is a hazard with the streetcar tracks. The alternative is to go up wyandotte to a path through penn valley...which is currently blocked off. ...

Re: Phase 2 streetcar to UMKC

In the meantime, you can take MAX, which runs often. And when streetcar is extended, free fare likely to go away. Actually took the MAX from onelight to westport for MotM, it wasn't that bad. $6 per trip for us could get a little expensive tho. cheaper than uber. We just won't use it enough to just...

Re: Phase 2 streetcar to UMKC

After renting in downtown for the last 3+ years, we have bought a house a couple blocks off of 36th&Main...extending the streetcar went from high on my priority list to highest. Look forward to see what comes.

This was a cool tidbit from the bizjournal article. Stephen Block, a BRES principal who leads the firm’s involvement in the project along with investment market broker Aaron Mesmer, said other amenities will include an outdoor off-leash dog park for tenants and a first-in-the-market service for apa...

Re: One Light - 13th & Walnut

Someone has a nice view!! Is it worth the rent? :) I think it is. I got in october of 2014 so rent was still really cheap. I'm paying 2k for our 2 bedroom. Considering I was paying 1k for a 1br downtown already, with a roommate it is about the same. Plus both me and my partner were paying for oneLi...
