Re: Nicaragua
Unless you have a specific reason for going there, like visiting family, I would not recommend going to Nicaragua. It is not a tourist friendly destination. There are several other countries in Latin America that are just as beautiful and fun to visit. For instance have you ever been to Roatan, H...

Re: Condo Supply
No Dave, it is not a new development at 127 w 10th street, we are converting the west building of Library Lofts to a condominium form of ownership during 2008-2009. The east building will remain as market rate apartments. We are currently offering a lease to own program to our existing tenants tha...

Re: Phoenix bar now Donut Shop?
Not true, majority owner is seeking a new operating partner; has to remain a jazz bar per the language in the lease. However there is a great coffee shop right down the street at the SoHo bakery.

Re: More Affordable Housing Needed Downtown to Service New Employees
Someday, the Library Lofts might go condo as well, and they utilized affordable housing credits to do the conversions, and more importantly, helped them get additional private source financing to do the complete project. I work for the company that developed Library Lofts, MRP. It is true that the...

Re: Freighthouse Lofts
My opinion is biased of course because I work for the company that developed the Freight House Lofts at Stuart Hall, but I can honestly tell you that this is one of my favorite buildings in our portfolio. It has a ton of historic character, great amenities and a superb location. Our biggest compla...

Re: soho lofts work?
I really don’t have a preference of one versus the other because I don’t get vertigo nor do I have to worry about my heels. The reasoning for using one over the other has to do with the historical requirements established by the state for each project. There were more stringent requirements for Fo...

Re: Affordable lofts in downtown
Yep, I heard Piper will be starting around $260/SF. Pretty expensive and unfortunatley you won't be able to move in for at least 18-24 months, and thats if this project actually happens. Soho Lofts, on the other hand, sounds like a great bargin and you can move in tommorow, seems like a no brainer....

Re: Thoughts on Riverbend & Coffee Lofts ?
Well Moniker, I can't speak for the ants because I have never seen any. In the couple of years I have lived at Coffee Lofts I have not had any problems with pests of any sort, whether they are insect, rodent or human. Sorry to disappoint all the Coffee critics out there.

Re: Thoughts on Riverbend & Coffee Lofts ?
Wow, just stumbled across this blog on Coffee Lofts. These guys are way off base! I have lived at this building for two years and I love it! I am actually still renting, because I have not closed on my unit yet. The owners have been really flexible in this regard. When they decided to convert i...
