Re: Making downtown more pedestrian friendly
People in Rivermarket and Columbus Park need to find a way to reduce eliminate semi-trucks from 3rd street. Too dangerous, for residents and visitors, especially at the Main Street intersection.

Saturdays games were incredible. Steve Kerr, GM for the Suns was scouting OU, that D-Bag Tobey Keith was in the OU section. Both games were excellent. Steve Kerr as he was leaving commented that the arena was VERY COOL.

I dont understand why the XRoads is losing steam. They supported Funkhouser, he will ensure the area prospers.

Re: Kansas City Officially Has A New Mayor - Mark Funkhouser
Time to update this thread. All kinds of crazy action over the past week. Here's how I score it. First, light rail. Funk's regional plan for November is basically deferred. A more logical and reasonable idea first proposed by Ed Ford advances. Touch down good guys. Score: Good Guys 7, Funk 0....

It is a great place but the kitchen is starting to smell of fish sauce and the common bathrooms remind me of the time I spent in a mexican jail.

Just went by Second Street today... Simply amazing... It looks like the bases for the public art have been poured on Main and Walnut. Anyone know when the art will be installed?

Jon would be an excellent Mayor... too bad he has too much sense to purse such an endeavor.

Re: GO ROYALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
shortstop--- We need one very bad.. Putting Estaban German at SS is a complete waste (made two glaring errors tonight) and pitchers can bat better than Pena. Does Musakatas really project as a solid SS (I dont think so, doesnt have the range). I would take Moose and move him to second base right ...

I think Trabon's project will be a great addition to the RM. City Homes is also a quality development that has bettered our neighborhood.

Funky could screw up a one man parade... HE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DEATH BLOW OF LIGHT RAIL. Can you believe he didnt know that state law didnt allow bonding for 25 years? I dont, I think that his biggest supporter Nutter is the biggest opponent of light rail. So Funky Fresh kills the starter li...

Re: Cordish may sue over non-P&L festival liquor licenses
While I hate the idea of Cordish suing over "verbal promises".... It is the best interest of the City for Cordish to be exclusive holder of this license (at least for 5 years or so). First the City is on hook for bond, so Live distirict better bring in tons of paying customers. Second, ...

This is ALL about the money. If they sign JA to long term contract it would be $25Million in signing bonus. If they get 1st and 2nd round of Vikes the TOTAL guaranteed money is only $11.5M and that is life of contract. The CHEAPS and King Carl can shove this team up their stovepipe (couldnt think ...

Re: Condo Supply
It costs money to be on MLS, but not per listing. Realtors pay those costs anyway not developers. Realtors work on what is called a "commission" which means they get paid by developers only when a unit closes (transfer of title). It is not laziness either, since once you have one listin...

Re: Condo Supply
To save listing costs they will list one unit and have the others available. What are you talking about.. to save listing costs? It does not cost more money to list mulitple units. It would cost on commissions paid when realtors sell the product, but not to list.... Do you have some knowledge...
