Re: Los Angeles
A couple points: Los Angeles' is not nearly as dense as New York City. Los Angeles isn't even the densest city in CALIFORNIA. The buildings alone should tell you that. NYC has 27,228 people per square mile, while Los Angeles has 7,876. Check Wikipedia. San Francisco comes in at 16,634. Most of...

Re: What Will Tuesday's Poll Results Be? Place your bets!
In light of what I've read and being a Los Angeleno, I'm changing my opinion (of course I can't vote) to a yes on the stadium thing. It's not what I think is the best way to get all this stadium stuff done but it's the best plan so far. After being frustrated by several light-rail failures...it's ...

Re: Cities would line up to woo Chiefs, Royals
I see the stadium improvements could get us a Final Four as well. http://www.kansascity.com/mld/kansascity/sports/14209754.htm At first I thought, "Oh neat another Final Four." Then I read that county is looking to raise $425 million of a total $575. I know, the stadium is owned by the cou...

Re: What restaurants do you want in the P&L District?
All good points. It really does come down to: How much is real-estate, how much must rent be to make a profit, how big must a company be to pay that rent etc... Though, there's an element of bull here. Maybe Cordish just doesn't offer spaces SMALL enough for a place like Arthur Bryants to do good...

Re: What restaurants do you want in the P&L District?
Forgive me for digging up an old thread. I promise to add something new (grocery store idea in last paragraph). I moved from Kansas City years ago and just heard about this Famos Dave's thing. Needless to say, I'm writing my letter and sending out several. I don't need to explain the irony any fu...
