Re: Capping the Loop

Originally the bollards were supposed to be electronically controlled. This would have made it easier to open and close and might allow the street to be open more often. Who knows, you almost might even be able to catch some of the street donut people in the act by closing the road while they’re do...

Re: Downtown New Residential Units

I moved there back in early ‘19 right after they converted the top two floors (20 & 21), and then renewed a year later without any mention that within weeks they’d begin converting floors 18 & 19. I work from home, so the blaring demo noise that we had to endure from 8 to 5 every day was eno...

I'm still not 100% it's a win for Biden. More like 98% sure. After these last 4 years, nothing would surprise me. 98%? C'mon, man. I know it's 2020 and all, but did you catch Giuliani's hearsay harangue at the "Four Seasons"? "Folks, the Not-So-Fresh King of Liberty-Bel-Air voted twi...

I did work with some acoustical engineers and the sound level in One Light from concerts wasn't an issue, matter of fact loud vehicles, car stereos and motorcycles passing by gave him higher readings on his meter. No offense, but did you hire those acoustical engineers from the National Association...

Re: OFFICIAL: Wallstreet Tower ( was:US Bank Tower going condo)

I have a problem with people complaining a out noise when they live in an urban environment. Tthats like saying you don't want to hear traffic and such like you do. Good grief! There's a might difference between the typical noise from "traffic and such" that's part of any urban environmen...

They're still doing some touch-up and restocking throughout (pharmacy included). It's definitely brighter, cleaner and more inviting, but I swear there's a south-to-north downward incline that I don't recall noticing before the reno. Store hours are likely to change starting next year, per one of th...

Re: UMKC Conservatory of Music considers move to downtown

http://www.kansascity.com/news/politics-government/article213070464.html Some very reassuring comments from Parson regarding the conservatory. Hopefully it won't take an extensive effort to get Kauffman to repledge her donation. And pehaps UMKC could offer naming rights in return for additional don...

June 17th, and it can't come soon enough. It amazes me that downtown hasn't yet proved to be a no-brainer for another pharmacy--or even a second CVS--to drop anchor.

Bring Mi Cocina back to the KC market. Would kill it at that location. I'd like to see more retail in P&L. I love the Rally House addition. A destination, accessible brand like Zara would be ideal. Not sure how much retail square footage is available however, and would assume that any significa...

Re: Three Light

While I'm a big proponent of variety in building aesthetics, I can live with the similarities in Cordish's towers just so long as each one isn't topped off with "(Number) Light" in huge letters at the top. One Light is fine, but I think it will look increasingly tacky to do the same with e...
