Re: GO ROYALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yea, if I were not leaving the city, I would still probably renew my season tickets.  I will now have at least $2000 next year I can spend on something a bit more worthy :).  The NATS will reach the series before KC makes the playoffs again.  Count on it.  Look for Royals attendence to drop by at l...

Re: Looks like we are moving to DC. Any thoughts? Advice?

Yeah, it's called the Purple line, and it's an above ground light rail train.  I HATE it because they are going to put it on this bike trail that I LOVE!!!  The Capital Crescent Trail that connects Silver Spring to Bethesda, then down to Georgetown.  I ride my bike to work on it once a week (17-ish...

Re: Looks like we are moving to DC. Any thoughts? Advice?

I think GRID means it would not be convenient to take the Red line to Silver Spring from Rockville which is very true!  Yes, the Red line stops in Rockville and in Silver Spring, but they are at polar ends of the metro line.  Geographically they are a lot closer if you drive.  I wish they line was ...

Re: Looks like we are moving to DC. Any thoughts? Advice?

Rockville would not be convenient for the RED Line, but it's close to Silver Spring. incorrect, i used to get off the red line in rockville daily. three stops from end of line on red line. took it from downtown dc daily ( got on at dupont ) took it to rockville, bout a 35 minute ride. got off in ro...

Re: Looks like we are moving to DC. Any thoughts? Advice?

Thanks for the pics!  So marc and metro stop there right? I didn't realize that.  Some of those commuter lines go pretty far north. What is the going rate to be right in that area?  I may be moving there alone for a few months till the family makes the move.  Then we will probably try to find a tow...

Re: The forum is trashed, can we turn it around before it's too late?

Let me offer some insight, again, as I have in another thread with a similar feel. This forum is trashed in some regards, just growing out of control in others. The trashed part is all of the flaming. I just started posing here 2 months ago but had been watching kcskysrapers.com for over 4 years ( t...

Re: KC tightens control of Sunday liquor sales

Original question again since the same ole flamers are having it out. Why does the statutory goverment need to regulate when I can buy beer and where on Sundays? This is considered by many a holy day me included but this is a crock. If I want to have a beer watching the game at my favorite bar why s...

Re: Stephenson's landmark restaurant up for sale

Has anyone ever eaten there on this board lately? The food is just as good as it ever was the chicken with butter and cream is so good, and those apple fritters and home made apple butter are off the hook wow.

Really if you have not ever eaten there it is worth the drive.

Re: Question 1

As I write this the number of voters is 85.  49 for.  36 against. Looking good. This forum is the same as the general voting public, those who really intend to vote yes or no on questions one and two do not spend a lot of time bitching about it. They will just show up April 4th and vote. It is asto...
