Re: Liberty Triangle

Adjusting the light timing may help some, but honestly when I look at the traffic flow through there I can't see light timing as the answer. I also don't understand why it would cost $500K to send a guy/gal out there to twist a dial or flip switches on the control board for the lights. Even if it i...

Re: Liberty Triangle

I would love to see a Taco Bueno or a Fazoli's in the Liberty Triangle area. Really anything other than another bank. There already 4 banks there in a 3 block radius.

Re: I-35 and 291<< Walgreens and Price Chopper

Well, it's a good thing they got rid of those old trees, even if they did nothing else, which they haven't.  No longer will we have to tolerate the festering blight of summer greenery, or fall russet, and their gnarled black skeletons will no longer haunt us in winter.  The graded lot looks fabulou...

Re: Northland Foreclosures

Thank God I live in Historic Northeast. It must be absolutely frightful out there in the burbs! Wow! And I thought I lived in a "bad" neighborhood. (sorry - just don't have a lot of sympathy for the "put the Hummer and the VISA on the mortgage" crowd.) This is the same crowd tha...

I don't know.  :( But a lady at CVS told me that the country club wasn't too happy about them being cut. Well, if you sell the property, the new owners can do what they want.

Re: Northland Dining...

I heard Los Compas was started by former employees of La Fuente in Kearney and not owned by them.  I like it better than Rancho Grande in Liberty. Rancho's "queso sauce" is, well, Cheez Whiz. The white queso?  I like.  OH and the Gold margaritas there I REALLY like. I was not too impresse...

Re: Washington, DC recommendations

We went this summer and really enjoyed the tour bus (sorry can't think of the name) that takes you through Arlington national cemetary, and down the mall to varous stops such as the capitol, union staion, etc.  One of our guides was even from KC.  If you plan on going up the Washington Monument, mak...
