Re: P&L District: 14th & Main Site Proposal

Does it fit the 'Nice Mexican Restaurant' mold that Cordish envisioned?

Re: OFFICIAL - Loews Convention Hotel (formerly Hyatt)

There is a notification in PZE later today that says a lease is being signed for space in the convention hotel. I haven't heard anything lately about the financing being completed yet, but possibly they will give an update later today. Hopefully this means progress. The PDF attachment said somethin...

Re: Phase 2 streetcar to UMKC

Three out of four of the plaintiffs' complaint is they allegedly don't have access to transportation or a computer, so they couldn't vote against the streetcar.

Oh the irony.

If it ever gets capped, I hope they look at Citygarden in St Louis and model it somewhat after that. It's a really cool small, urban park.

Guessing the Joe's concept will involve them brewing their own beer. Seems crazy to yank the beer tanks out of Gordon Biersch.

I'm lost on a nice Mexican restaurant. Are we talking something like a Margaritaville?

Would love to see something like a pedestrian only alley or street down there lined with bars and restaurants. Something unique to KC that we don't really have. http://media2.newsnet5.com/photo/2017/05/04/Screen%20Shot%202017-05-04%20at%2011.55.00%20AM_1493913325349_59113051_ver1.0_640_480.png

Re: Two Light - 14th & Grand

There are balconies on the north side, not on the east or south, just sliding doors into nothingness. You can see the balconies on the south side in the latest photo, a few posts above yours. Wherefore art thou, Juliet? I had to blow up the photo and look much closer, but I think I found what moder...

SOUNDS LIKE A 670 CAP IS COMMING TO ME!!! :D

If they were planning on capping 670, don't you think there would be balconies on the south side of the building?

If streetcar runs to Isle of Capri, I'd be willing to bet that the Isle gets fully redeveloped with a hotel. they're the only KC casino without one! Hollywood Casino doesn't have a hotel element either, although part of the deal is they are supposed to add one. How does St Louis have a casino in th...

Sounds like someone jumped off the parking garage last night at Prariefire, although no news stations have picked it up to my knowledge.

I thought I remember reading somewhere that H&R #2 was supposed to be around 10 stories. I don't ever remember seeing any sort of rendering though.

Man, that thing is ugly.

A more interesting roofline would go a long way. Hell the Sheraton in Overland Park looks more appealing than this garbage.

A combination of pouring the pools and weather slowed progress over the last few weeks, but overall the project is on time. Several new retail tenants will be announced over the next few weeks, including some very modern and progressive concepts. As in...a City Target? I heard that same rumor. I wo...
