Re: Plaza move-ins (ongoing)

Haddad Restaurant Group took it over some time ago and did absolutely nothing but cut costs and ride the coattails of it's former glory. History and name recognition kept them open this long, but without updating this is what happens. Seems like anything Haddad takes over fails at some point. Winste...

I guess it would be a shitty way to go. Ran over by a truck and the last thing you saw was unpainted plywood.

So does the city make them paint the barrier wall? There's two guys painting it currently and found that kind of funny albeit it looks nicer.

Re: Three Light

7-8 floors would keep the skyline density intact, allow them to start both tomorrow and then negotiate with the owners of the 12th & Grand lot to build something super tall and mixed use. (win, win, win) What do you mean by "keep the skyline density intact"? More like keep the skyline...

Re: OFFICIAL - Loews Convention Hotel (formerly Hyatt)

Looks like they are already beginning to assemble a tower crane. https://i.imgur.com/m55Dxcs.png Interesting that they already have the base piece in place. Seems way to early for that but look on the Brightside, there will be two (or 3) tower cranes within two blocks of each other! Maybe early at ...

Re: OFFICIAL - Loews Convention Hotel (formerly Hyatt)

Are there any other live cameras like this downtown? https://www.webcamtaxi.com/en/usa/missouri/kansas-city.html I think I heard somewhere that there might be more than one crane on this project I'm guessing at least two. Figure the other one may not go up until the Herford Association is demolished.

Olshan Properties is listed at the bottom of their website. A quick Google search revealed they were trying to sell the property as of April 2016 and guess it hasn't sold.

I read an article where it says they hope to break ground on January 2nd so guessing they are going to hit the ground running. May even see 24/7 construction.

I can't read the article, but from the tidbit posted it sounds like LCRA has to approve documents and they are shooting for a late December financial closing so we should see movement in 2018.

Does it fit the 'Nice Mexican Restaurant' mold that Cordish envisioned?

Re: OFFICIAL - Loews Convention Hotel (formerly Hyatt)

There is a notification in PZE later today that says a lease is being signed for space in the convention hotel. I haven't heard anything lately about the financing being completed yet, but possibly they will give an update later today. Hopefully this means progress. The PDF attachment said somethin...

Three out of four of the plaintiffs' complaint is they allegedly don't have access to transportation or a computer, so they couldn't vote against the streetcar.

Oh the irony.

If it ever gets capped, I hope they look at Citygarden in St Louis and model it somewhat after that. It's a really cool small, urban park.

Guessing the Joe's concept will involve them brewing their own beer. Seems crazy to yank the beer tanks out of Gordon Biersch.
