Re: Pendleton Heights rocks!
Does anybody on here know any specifics on the Kansas City Dream Home Initiative? Specifically I am trying to find answers on repayment, such as what happens if you have to move out of the house prior to the 10 year forgiveable loan deadline. Does anybody know if there are penalties assessed for s...

Re: Pendleton Heights rocks!
508 Garfield has such historical significance that it seems the city should not allow this one to fall to pieces. I've viewed the home several times and I estimate 250k in restoration...unless someone talented buys the home and puts it back together again. The interior really is beautiful and has ...

I've had good luck with bank of america. I also agree that avoiding a brokerage could be most beneficial to you...go straight to the bank.

Re: Is there no hope for Brush Creek Riverwalk?
It's just a creek.....I'm all for flood prevention, but seems like there has been a lot of money spent on simply making it prettier. You can dump tons of cash into making it pretty, but it's still smells like it used to.

Re: Pendleton Heights rocks!
Do you know anything about the brick, two level building on the southeast corner of Brooklyn and Elma? It looks like it could be transformed into a cool open floor plan on the lower level. Thanks in advance. That's 2203...the one the plumber bought. I consulted him on the floorplan just yesterday...

Re: Cliff drive proposed as downtown area giant hiking/biking trail
Spring on Cliff Drive is looking awesome! On one of the recent warm days I took my dog for a walk (with a doggy bag of course) and had an incredible time. Walked nearly 4 miles.....there must have been 150 or more people running, biking, hiking, cliff climbing, etc. It was great to see so many pe...

Re: Pendleton Heights rocks!
Anyone know the status of the renovation in the 300 block of Garfield (west side of street)? It's a neat home, but I think the couple doing the work was sidetracked by the Olive house, posted above. By the way, anyone looking to rent a beautiful, 1885 Queen Anne in PH, 4 bedroom, w/ fenced in backy...

Re: Pendleton Heights rocks!
OK fellow PH lovers...checked out the new downtown market today and LOVED it!!! :D/ Timed my drive at just 4 minutes from my front door! I knew it was close, but was shocked at how close it actually was. My wife and I were very happy with the selection, service, and parking. The only immediate i...

Don't know about the sunrise spots, but one of my favorite sunset spots is Kessler Park. Great place to fly a kite too.

I also am a member of Scott Fitness in River Market. Used to belong to golds midtown, UMKC gym, and others. But, have been with Scott for 3 years and absolutely love it. It's a place where you can work out without concern for how you look. Personally, I appreciate a gym where you can be yourself...

Oh man, this bridge thing is a real pain. But, for those of us who already live south of the river...YAHOO! My recommended trek is up Highway 9, but don't forget the Chestnut trfy. out of Pendlton Heights which runs you right by Knuckleheads (always a good time). If you live in or around Pendleto...

Re: The Urban Core Group
The northeast neighborhoods have a lot of "urban core" grassroot-ish, hob-nobbin events too. They call them cocktail parties or garden parties. Usually lots of people, lots of suds, and lots of food. Common factor among all gatherings is that everyone, urban and suburban alike, is usual...
