Re: Missouri Amtrak Service

You know this could be a good thing, instead of Amtrak worrying about service across the country with old nostalgic routes, why don't they focus on frequency between places and expand out from that. I would love to be able to take the Train to St Louis or Chicago more but the times are not always g...

You can only build the project you describe in the TDD petition, unless you go back to those voters to change it.

Can confirm that railroads have been approached about using the North Loop project as an opportunity to build a new crossing that would allow them to straighten out the kinks in the system around the river crossing. ...true, but they want to control their own destiny (in other words, don't bank on ...

Re: Misc Crossroads News

Someone told me that part of the lot was always "owned" by the hotel property...so now that they are using the building, they are reclaiming their lot. That lot is a complete cluster of "this is my spot". I hate it so much. it was owned by tom leavitt until it sold to the hotel ...

Re: Westport's fate post-P&L

Many cities have free bus along key shopping/tourist districts (like Denver's 16th St Mall) but is there any US city with several free bus lines for purpose of commutes or broader connectivity? there are no US cities our size with citywide free transit. most are either college or resort towns, or o...

That's not on every application form prior to submissions, especially if you're working on automated submission of your website. https://streetcarvote.org/ Again, details matter. which is why you should read what you sign, especially when it says "I declare under penalties of perjury that I am...

Re: Phase 2 streetcar to UMKC

That's another area for confusion. Nothing on the ballot request form says that someone has to contact a phone number to get their status for receiving a ballot. That's the kind of thing someone can file a grievance and mess with the election. FROM THE APPLICATION ITSELF: Questions should be addres...

question about qualification for the ballot. If for some reason you do not qualify for a ballot for some technical reason (like incorrectly filling out the form, but otherwise qualifying) will you be notified in advance that you do not qualify or do they simply not send you a ballot when the time c...

Yes, this was an OHP meeting actually. Please come to the next one, we will be discussing the OPUS development more. I believe the next will be on June 21st. Have you gotten signed up for the streetcar election yet? We're having an OHP signup at Mother Earth Coffee this Sunday from 11-6. events all...

Toll gates, which were part of the original bridge, could also be part of the solution, Minder said.

“That’s how we funded it the first time,” he said.
