Re: World Cup 2026 at Arrowhead?

Lol in 8 years? No way. Nope. Don't even dream. We can satisfy with a bus line for the event. Correct. A higher-quality* BRT route on Linwood/31st from Southwest Blvd to the stadiums can be planned, designed, and built in five years with minimal federal investment. * Articulated electric buses, 100...

102 parking spaces for 67 units and no retail? I guess that's what the (home-owning) area wants.

Re: Bird Scooters Have Landed

Just so I'm clear, you're saying block electric scooters from Main Street entirely? Including the street? Or just parking them? Yeah, I don't agree with that at all. Slippery slope. Bikes would be next, I guarantee it.

I saw someone driving a gasoline-powered golf cart northbound on the sidewalk of the 1200 block of Main. That sidewalk has ZERO room for vehicles, let alone people.

Electric scooters now permitted on board KCATA-operated buses (which is almost all of them): https://twitter.com/RideKCTransit/statu ... 0695421952

Obviously don't try this during rush hour.

Re: 19th and Oak - Milhaus Mixed Use Development in East Crossroads

For the record, the official "20th Street" plan stopped at McGee (and was implemented to Grand). The plan goes much farther west than SW Blvd, even though that was the western edge of what was built. If the city plans to do something about the Oak viaduct -- haven't heard anything about it! -- then ...

Maybe I misunderstood the comment. No one's going to ban scooters specific city streets. It's already illegal to ride on the sidewalks.

Re: Bird Scooters Have Landed

^Have noticed Bird blocks out no ride zones on the map for some cities (in red on map). Main St shouldn't be allowed riding methinks at all, especially through CBD/Xroads. In general not in support of riding on sidewalk (given the 15mph speed) but not enforce if no pedestrian on sidewalk at time. N...

Re: Bird Scooters Have Landed

Will Lime be hitting KC soon? And will they target scooters only or bikes as well? Dockless scooters seem less intrusive/messy than dockless bikes and generally more convenient being powered. Lime was in town this week: http://www.kmbc.com/article/second-electric-scooter-company-courting-kansas-cit...
