Re: Phase 2 streetcar to UMKC

Correct.

Coming soon: A confirmation of this expansion's submission into the federal grant process (deadline is September 28). Congress continues to rebuff the administration's attempt to shutter/de-fund the program.

Re: "Flashcube" Building - 720 Main

If you think Tower Properties is trying to market those North Loop parking lots for individual redevelopment (or develop them individually on their own), you are delusional. They are banking them (LOL) for something, and it's very likely downtown baseball.

Segway tours seem to not illicit such anger.... Guess it's just the sheer number of scooters (and we haven't got started yet)
They have also not been blocked from riding on Plaza streets and sidewalks.

Re: Phase 2 streetcar to UMKC

So there is an article in the KC BJ about purchasing 9 more streetcars for the extensions. Actually 11 I guess when you include the two on order for the current line. I'm just wondering if they plan to build a major expansion of the maintenance facility or will they build another facility in a diff...

Yes let's risk rank pedestrian dangers and start enforcing highest risk ones.... Scooter enforcement should come around 2023.
I hear ya, but if there's zero enforcement for riding on sidewalks there WILL be backlash when these operators expand. It's happened everywhere else.

DaveKCMO may be glad to know that while the street is technically east of I-35, the neighbors definitively refer to it as "West Side."
Ambivalent, at best.

Let's put in more mobility lanes if we are super concerned.... Riders will use them.
Like everything else, enforcement is key.

^Will be interesting to see how broad they start and how many scooters.

Ever since Plaza has been red zoned, Bird has no morning Nests south of 43rd now.
They’ve been consistently telling me 500.

Just say no. No reason to give a reason. It's not that hard to come up with a reason, like it will destroy walkability in the government district . It gives the city the ammunition is needs to respond to developers and their lawyers. And I could give two shits about "local architecture" what does t...
