I can't help you out, but I know Anthony Marstall recently renovated one of those homes there. alpha_glamourina might be able to answer your question, however.

Re: KC in Yahoo!'s top 10 cities for young adults

Regardless of how or why these various lists are created, speaking from experience, I agree with KC is a fantastic place to be if you're 18-35. The city (and by that I mean the urban core) is just the perfect size, and extremely affordable.
Once you get married and have kids, though...

There's a tent set up in the lot where the Temple will be built. I'm sure all neighbors are invited to attend, though I'm not sure if it's an all-weekend event or what. I think we'll be there Saturday, provided the weather holds.

Weird.....they have always been super pleasant to me.  Which lady helped you?  Was it the one with half her head shaved and HUGE 1980s red eyeglasses?  She's....different....but always seemed nice.  It wasn't her. Just sort of a non-descript woman in her late 20's maybe. Not a huge deal, just awkwa...

I just noticed that signage for the Waldo Coffee Girls tonight, too.  It's probably wrong to prejudge, having never gone to the Southwest Boulevard one, but I've never heard a single thing about the service that didn't involve the words "surly" or "unfriendly."  This is not enti...

Has there ever been any serious discussion about renaming Troost?  I'm open to suggestions... :) Nah, it wouldn't change a thing. If anything, it'd become a local joke of sorts, I'd imagine. Regarding Troost: I don't mean to be a negative Ned, and I can say this because I live in a neighborhood wit...

Re: Pendleton Heights rocks!

So I was wondering where the best blocks of PH were.  I am familiar with the KC museum and Cliff Drive, but I am unsure where to go to explore PH.  (I even when on a NE Homes tour a few years ago, but not sure if that was PH.)  Where should one go to see the best of the area? Personally, I think al...

Re: Need advice = New Windows for an Old House

shockingly my house has 100% of the old windows - including the original glass, which has migrated downward in the frames for a distorted "antique glass" look.  i bet you can find old windows at the re:store - maybe a long shot though in terms of sizes.  however, the re:store folks do dem...
