Re: Plaza move-ins (ongoing)
Target and so on to join LensCrafters on the Country Club Plaza…I actually like the idea of target replacing the proposed Nordstrom on the plaza. I would never shop at Nordstrom but I would defiantly be at the target multiple times a week. I think this is exactly what the plaza needs a target would ...

Re: American Royal leaders propose tearing down Kemper
I'm really excited that the taxpayers are going to be able to have the opportunity to subsidize this beautiful new playground for the wealthy instead of tearing the eyesore down. Unfortunately, I predict that half the claims of what it will feature will never materialize and the entire thing will sa...

Re: Million plus Square Foot Dist Center in KCK
Huh. Maybe Wal-Mart? Do they have an online fulfillment center in the metro yet? I believe their online sales have been growing rapidly, faster than Amazon's in recent years. It might make sense for Amazon to build a second facility, particularly if they're planning to introduce groceries and same-...

Re: Million plus Square Foot Dist Center in KCK
I forgot to mention the building is designed to be expanded to 2.3 million square feet and grow from 1,500 initial employees to an eventual 3,500 employees. The UG originally was doing a CID to replace an interchange but instead the state of Kansas is stepping in and granting the UG $7 million dolla...

Someone bought the Turner Commerce Park under development at Riverview Ave and Turner Diagonal from Northpoint Development and has converted it from a multi building business park to one large warehouse with over a million square feet. The new tenant is a secret right now. I did a little digging and...

Re: Taco Republic in Westwood
Actually I know a lot of KC, KS residents who live north of the Kansas River who think that areas south of the river are part of Johnson County. THe only people who know better are government employees and politicians. I'd estimate that at least half of the population of KC, KS lives between Leaven...

In the same way Joe's BBQ across the street has their own way to not connect themselves to KCK. On their website they simply call it the gas station location while the others are Leawood and Olathe locations. In the specific address they actually don't call it County Line Road, they use West 47th. ...

Re: New Elementary School to be built in Rosedale
What’s the deal with all this new school building resulting in tearing down the existing school? Sure..these post WWII buildings are not architectural gems, but they are decent and seem to be fully serviceable structures for today’s learning environment.
