Re: New Chiefs Stadium
You drew $400 million + in highway improvements. May as well just built LRT there with a $400 million state contribution. Why Not Both??? I spent a bit more time to make my idea look a little better. Re: New Chiefs Stadium
How about this, a complete rebuild of the TSC road network, make it flow as good as it does at the Legends. You can go to Nebraska furniture mart during a Nascar or Sporting KC event and not even get stuck in any traffic. Literally went to NFM during a sporting KC game yesterday and it's like there ...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
Lol you are getting ridiculous. Like 95% of voters outside of greater downtown. Even the urban core of KCMO is probably well less than half the population of the county. I'm not sure how many people live in KCMO from the river to Brookside to 435. And you are the only person using words like "...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
I don't trust billionaires, and I trust Sherman even less after his wife's facebook posts.... But, I think the election failing could end up being for the best. 1) I always thought a downtown stadium should be owned by the city, not the county. No reason to give people in Blue Springs and Lees Summi...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
I agree. That’s the point I’m making. It’s such a low probability that people preaching that it’s a conclusion are fooling themselves. As a former Rams fan, this is insanely wrong. I lied to myself and said they'd never move. Why would a Missourian move the team? They are legally obligated to work ...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
Oakland A's are officially moving to Sacramento next season. Oakland is going to try to get an expansion team and they have owners lined up, if they don't get an expansion team, they may try to lure the Royals.

Re: New Chiefs Stadium
Just a reminder that Kansas only earned $7 million from sports betting for it's first full year. Sports betting tax revenue will not pay for a stadium alone in either state so we don't have to worry about Kansas being able to use that to build the Chiefs a $2 billion dome capable of hosting superbo...

Re: New Chiefs Stadium
And no way all sports betting revenue is going to go to one team. Every pro team will want a slice. Exactly, we have to remember STL has MLB, NHL, and MLS, Springfield has AA baseball, etc. plus St Charles has had a few minor league hockey teams, doesn't appear they have one at the moment, plus ind...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
I'll never root for a Kansas based team. I'll literally burn my Chiefs merch if they announce a deal with Kansas.

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
I'm guessing we end up with a city owned or funded stadium. County should sell Arrowhead to the Chiefs for $1 and let them remodel it with tax credit shenanigans like every other business gets.. I really want to see Arrowhead saved and baseball should be downtown. Suburban baseball is fucking stupid.

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
Grid finds other NFL stadiums boring, but also wants one of those boring stadiums. The bowl of Arrowhead can NOT legally be built again because if modern building codes and the ADA. We will not have the same amount of fans that close to the field and making that much noise, and with such great sight...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
I think it will pass. And I want it to pass so that we get the important part here (the Royals going downtown). But I just can't get over how pathetic than Chiefs proposal was. It's just downright embarrassing. Idc what DCole says, that proposal is shitty for everyone. It is totally unbefitting of ...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
Tbh that Chiefs proposal is so shitty and disappointing that I honestly think it would be better for them to go Kansas and actually get a real stadium setup that they deserve. Maybe that's a silver lining. Do you think the vote is going to fail? I think it will pass. And I want it to pass so that w...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
Yeah it simply cannot fit between the current curblines of Grand and Oak. Just not happening for an MLB level park. Heck Tmobile struggled to fit in that same width. HAHAHAHAHA, Tmobile literally has a parking lot between the arena and Oak. bro, I needed that laugh.... HAHAHAHAHA Follow the parking...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
The site between Grand and Oak is 100 feet narrower than the smallest modern park in the league. Something will have to give. It's also going to have a smaller capacity than those modern parks too. It can easily fit with a good design plus both Grand and Oak can use a road diet to give you an extra...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
I scaled municipal stadium onto the crossroads site. A stadium that has almost the exact same number of seats as what they are proposing. Oak doesn't even need a road diet to make a stadium fit. Sure a new stadium is going to have wider concourses, more bathrooms and amenities, but the site can easi...
