Re: "Flashcube" Building - 720 Main

But also, in some cities dogs don't use grass, they just lay it out on the curb or sidewalk. I feel like this is something that has not caught on around here as most of the dogs are really suburban dogs in disguise. If I was a betting man, I would wager you do not have a dog. I've seen dogs! ...

You build new neighborhood retail.
Create walkable streets with patios, benches, places to gather.
Restaurants, bakerys, pubs, shops.

We need to slow things down to make it attractive.

Looks like Freshwater will be back to its original location this Spring. http://www.kansascity.com/news/business/biz-columns-blogs/cityscape/article197870229.html Owner plans to put up barriers. Too bad there is not much that can be done with SW Trafficway - its essentially a street forced into a r...

Re: Status and future of the River Market area??

So someone paying $9 for 9 hours of parking during a workday = $45/wk. How does that compare with structured or surface lot parking options in the loop? You seem to have surmised that this change is intended to discourage full day parking in these spaces. Garage parking is available at 300 Wyandott...

I was impressed that it passed by similar percentages in Clay & Platte, too. Apparently this was one issue that the river doesn't divide us on. So who are the 500 people that voted yes on 2 and no on 3? And are there just 11,000 that vote no on everything, no matter what? Had I been able to vot...

That's the Jack Frye Training Center.
It served as TWA's pilot training facility in Kansas City.
Along with classrooms, offices, printing and filming facilities, it also included multiple realistic flight simulators.
