Re: Kansas City Officially Has A New Mayor - Mark Funkhouser
Funk needs to work with the council and county on this issues...not just spring it on them and then pull out the Chief of Police for some BS press conference with the stadiums in the background. There are ways to do things...Funk does them completely opposite most of the time. does he have a pr per...

Re: Kansas City Officially Has A New Mayor - Mark Funkhouser
i don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but i found it hypocritical of mayor lurch to show up at the NFL 101 awards this past weekend. what's more, at the cocktail hour he stood by himself in the middle of the room. he did not make an effort to talk with any body. wore his usual scowl. the ...

Re: Case Park Shooting Results in Death
sounds like a pretty terrible thing.... just... wow. I doubt the person who committed this crime lived in the apartments there, it's probably one of those homeless/drifter/thuggish dudes who wander into the area (either via foot or bus). I could see it being a matter of seconds, someone runs up ...

Regarding the question of Brandon's race, he was black. He did live at WST and was nice as can be.

Saw someone with the GC in the elevator today heading up to the pool. Said they were going over the punch list...almost done! Now if only the weather would cooperate.

Re: OFFICIAL: Wallstreet Tower ( was:US Bank Tower going condo)
It was night, and it was a strange guy with a big dog. If I saw someone do that during the day, I'd probably hand them a poop bag with a smile. I understand. One woman that lives in WST asked a guy to pick up after his dog and he said he was going to shoot her. This is not a joke...happened last...

Re: OFFICIAL: Wallstreet Tower ( was:US Bank Tower going condo)
Yeah, I'm surprised by how many people just blatantly don't pick up after their dogs. Especially with two stations there with bags. I even bring my own bags in case the stands are out of them. It's not that difficult. Last night I stood there and watched as some guy from down the street (not fr...

Re: OFFICIAL: Wallstreet Tower ( was:US Bank Tower going condo)
A question for those of you who have lived here longer. Do they reseed the grassy areas in the park in the spring at all? Or does the grass come back pretty well? Since I've moved in, it's been kind of a dirty (muddy swamp when it rains) mess. I'm hoping it's not always like that. Last year the...

"KC is on the wrong track?" Yes, we are because of you, Mr. Funk. Does anyone else cringe when he talks? He looked like Hitler at the press conference yesterday pounding his fist on the podium.

Re: OFFICIAL: Wallstreet Tower ( was:US Bank Tower going condo)
The pool is really starting to look cool. I am very excited. WST is (if there was ever any doubt, opti) the best all around condo building in the city. I have lived here for two years, but i never stopped condo shopping. I have been in every condo building in the loop, and most in midtown and ar...

Opti...it is probably not a good idea to say "you hate this place" in the event that you want to sell your condo. Just a sales tip.

Re: Kansas City Officially Has A New Mayor - Mark Funkhouser
my god i despise funkhouser. what a joke. the "new kansas city" looks an awful lot like the old kansas city...1990's style. I know that there are other factors going on behind the scenes, but I like blaming del baggio's departure from his agreement with funkhouser's ineptitude.

Re: Recalling the Funk.
While I hate the Glover Project for waht it looks like and it's land use, it has been successful as far as tax revenue generated and brining much needed retail to the area. The tax dollars have been directed back into the nearby neighborhoods for small residential and multi-family improvements. E...

Re: Recalling the Funk.
Just about everything you stated is completely false. 1) Interest rates are on the rise which affects ALL development, not just commercial. Read the KC Biz Journal, Mark Fountain had a nice quote discussing signs of "tightening" in the commercial market. 2) If these owners are asking ...
