Re: Westport Starbucks to Close
This is interesting. I didn't read through all 5 pages of this thread so I apologize if this has been brought up. But what if this is bad for Broadway Coffee? (I apologize for the source, but I've found this statistic in numerous places, just can't seem to find one now :)). http://blog.cleveland.co...

Probably not too many cocks "waving" around. It was pretty chilly Friday night.

Re: IMAX @ Zoo is no more
Get some real, summer-blockbuster movies in there.
Am I going to take my out-of-city friends to see the Discovery Channel on a big screen? The IMAX and the Zoo should be two different events, so the owners don't feel obligated to run educational programming.

Writing Jobs In Kansas City
This is kind of a shot in the dark. My wife is currently looking for a job, and the job market is terrible. My wife is a graduate of Missouri State University with a Technical Writing/Journalism degree with two years experience in technical and marketing writing at a local software company. We're fa...

Re: Best minigolf course?
Actually, I'm really surprised there's nothing in South JOCO. Me and a group of friends wanted to go mini-golfing last weekend and the only mini golf place in the area closed down (close to 135th & Antioch).

Re: Drive In Theatres...
Awesome guys, appreciate the info. We ended up just going to see Pirates of the Caribbean at our local theater. We really didn't want to see "Hog Wild." lol. Although our theater (Pilazzo 16) has awesome prices for the first showing of the day. $5.25. Which is much better than the $7 for t...

Re: Drive In Theatres...
Sorry to bring up such an old topic, but I was wondering if anyone has been to this Drive-In? Is it nice? I think we've been to the Twin Theatre and we really liked it.

Re: Bicyclist killed
It is a Missouri law to wear or have some sort of reflector on your bicycle. From my experience, one little reflector on the back of your bike isn't enough. For my commute, I have a blinking LED taillight to go along with my reflective helmet and factory reflector. I also have a LED light mounted on...

Maybe complaints that can be foreseen might seriously be an issue and deserve more of a concern rather than heckling.

Re: Where the jobs are
Man, hostile environment here. Speaking from my previous experiences, I moved to Overland Park because I was told about it. I went to school in Springfield and the companies that were reaching out to students there were from Johnson County. I don't remember one company from the Missouri-side. But I ...

Re: Study says bicycle commuters are happiest
It's honestly not that bad. Metcalf is 3 lanes between 139th and 137th and no one ever uses the 3rd lane, so I get as far right as possible and hardly ever have anyone close to me. The worst part of my commute is coming home between 137th and 139th because I turn into 139th and there's not a whole l...

River Market, No Pets?
As a frequent visitor to the City Market, I was really discouraged in visiting there because of the recent outlaw of dogs. I always enjoyed spending my Saturday mornings, shopping for fresh groceries and supporting the local farmers. All the while walking my dog. It was truly a great experience for ...

I had my wedding there last October.
A beautiful building with good prices. And it would have made things a lot easier if we could have had our guests stay there.

Go to www.oldversion.com
And use the newest WS_FTP.
I've used it for a few years now and feel lost without it.

Re: Reaction to the Zune
Zune may have some issues but what first generation electronic doesn't? I think what the Zune is doing is great, for the simple fact that it's just creating competitive pressure on the iPod. I own an Ipod Nano and love it, I use it everyday at work. But there are somethings I wish it did. Simple thi...

It says the Artwalk goes from 7-9. Does everything pretty much shut down at 9 or does it go longer? My wedding reception is that night, and I figure it'll get done around 9 and I'd like to take my friends down there afterwards to see the sites.

I absolutely love Caribou Coffee. Although their coffee depends largely on who is making it.Tosspot wrote: Caribou tried to one-up SBUX by saying they would honor all those voided coupons going around.
