Re: Would you like to see the Royals move to a downtown stadium?

if I keep saying that capital improvements to the existing stadiums plus a streetcar extension would be a better investment than a new stadium, will this make it happen? What about if it could be done before a hypothetical 2028 World Cup? (Fantastic renders though!) It will come down to what the te...

Re: Downtown Tanners closing?

So 4 barcade type places in greater downtown area now with Rockafire recently opening too. Can all survive a few years? These are way higher maintenance than a typical bar with a few machines. Damn, I had all this typed just as brewcrew posted. Same point below... Could cupcake shops be our canary-...

Cat cafes are the new thing, if you haven't heard.

There's a Cat Cafe (Whisker's) opening a few doors North of Freshwater in the same strip mall.

I agree with that. If they win. Not Vegas-level the first year, but early and somewhat sustained.

Re: NHL OR NBA, let the message board decide!!

The Vegas thing does nothing to convince that the NHL is a quality product that I would pay top dollar to see. It just makes me think that a properly funded group of players that other teams didn't want can compete at any level.

I'm clearly not their target audience.

^Apparently. TJ's is more appealing to cooks I suppose wanting above avg quality ingredients for low prices but agree is not a full grocery and didn't expect it to be. I don't anyone who cooks a lot that considers TJs as a good option for ingredients over a traditional grocery store like WF or Cose...

I think they throw a table and few chairs on the sidewalk - but no real seating. If memory serves, it's all through a walk up window. I don't even think there's an inside. But the were good tacos.

Hey Mean - have you been to any of the taco places on St. John Ave? I've been to Guerro, but still need to try Los Altos de Jalisco. I think they're open for lunch and then close again and reopen sometimes for dinner/late night. I remember trying and failing once and I haven't been back.

Re: NFL Draft

I agree with you on the importance and entertainment value of this (virtually none), but the Tennessee/Nashville fanbase is pretty solid and it's a good football town. I have some friends that have gone and the downtown vibe and walk across the bridges is a pretty cool gameday experience. I think th...

I can't read the article you posted, but there is a little butcher on the west side of the market (the name escapes me) - down towards the south end. But, the selection isn't great and it just smells weird. I like some of the eggs they have there, but I haven't had a ton of luck with their meat. Bro...

Re: We need a new airport!!!

I feel people are confusing different things here. As far as I can tell, the terminal name has very little to do with the airport name. I haven't seen anyone confirm they are removing Kansas City International Airport - only adding a name to the terminal. Sky Harbor in Phoenix is going to have a McC...
