Re: Power and Light District Official Tenant List

I know it's not scientific and everyone has an opinion about Yelp, but a cursory search of his places in Philly, Baltimore and Mt. Pocono are not encouraging based on those reviews. Mostly getting about 2.5 or less out of 5.

His Vegas place actually does have decent ratings.

Re: STL MLS proposal resurrection

the potential for a rivalry with kansas city is obvious and great for both cities... kc fans in particular will be able to board a train and be dropped off near this stadium in proper fashion. this is also an area of downtown st. louis that could use ANY kind of shot in the arm. I mentioned this in...

Sounds like they completely misunderstood what film row was.
This is several blocks from there on the south side of SW Blvd, isn't it? Maybe I'm missing something.

It is all very confusing, but I do like that they have a music venue. I've been meaning to check it out.

Yeah, this could become something interesting but right now sounds like vapor and buzzwords.
I disagree. I think they can cultivate a lot of synergy with a bricks-and-clicks model that is e-enabled for collaborative growth strategies.

Had heard a rumor that kokothai wanted to sell....now there is a liquor license application for Pokesan at their address?
That would be a shame if kokothai went away. Love that place.

Re: NHL OR NBA, let the message board decide!!

STL is such a soccer town, it's hard to believe they haven't gotten a team yet. I would like to be in same conference as a STL MLS team so we can have a natural geographic rival, but I'm guessing they'd be eastern conference. Tough competition for those last two spots - Detroit, San Diego, Phoenix a...

Yikes. That looks worse than the "before" picture of 601.

I'm sure it will be lovely.

601 E 63rd is right there - it was my pediatrician's office 40 years ago, but it looks really good now. There's a few decent buildings over there that could hold a restaurant.

Re: Great Architecture from Around the World

It's extremely functional for a building that wants to maximize the internal space - especially large meeting rooms/ballrooms. This hotel was built on a relatively small pad for an 800 room hotel. In order to be competitive, they need uninterrupted meeting/event space. The external structure allows ...

Look at how many rooms will have no practical windows. That's a hotel to put somewhere without a view.
LOL. No. Views are fine. Rooms are specifically designed to maximize the view and the exoskeleton together.

I should say I have NOT written this place off at all - I think they did a great job and I'll definitely be back. I had the Farm to Market burger - which was fine. I still want to try Mother Cluckers. The prices are what they are - eating out is never really cheap. The space - especially the 2nd flo...

I don't think you're really tipping in exchange for any kind of service. Unfortunately it's more like a donation to subsidize the sub-living wages of the American service industry. I associate "sub-living wages of the American service industry" with actual servers that are paid under $4/hour becaus...

It's good to see someone doing infill development without tearing down existing buildings. That's always a good starting point. I heard the shed was going. Except brgr burgers are below average at best
Kind of like Shake Shack...
I kind of disagree. The burger itself at Shake Shack was fine for $6 (a plain, single burger was under $5). BRGR offers no more quality and the burgers cost twice as much. Give me Town Topic any day over either.
