Re: Next Mayor 2019

I really expected to have some large, direct mail pieces by now. Disappointed.

Are they going to debate sometime in the next two months?

Re: Hotel Overbuilding?

Before the new wears off, KC needs to also focus on food and entertainment. Planners do react to feedback, and they tend to return to the "fun" cities over and over. We cannot just skate by on BBQ places and jazz music. There needs to be variety. One of the best advantages KC has for convention tra...

We are also attracting new hotel flags that wouldn’t give us the time of day ten years ago: 21c, Loews, Crossroads Hotel (Aparium). That’s gotta count for a change in the market outside of conventions.
Kimpton too.

Not-so-bold prediction: if Trump nominates him, the GOP will confirm him.
And Susan Collins will just feel awful about voting for him.

From the successful developers of Garment House and Jon Russell's BBQ, we present.... something that will never open.

And c'mon - Eat and Drink on 44? They're just trolling us now. I dare them to use a sans serif font.

Re: Daycare Options

I would like to plug Notre Dame de Sion for its new(ish) Petite program, as well as Montessori Pre-K. Both at the Hyde Park lower school campus. Great community and seemingly a little under-the-radar due to the relative newness of the program. Sion is co-ed from Petite through 8th grade. Since our ...

Re: the font
Remember, the restaurant is named after Kotar's 6 year old daughter. Perhaps she chose the font.
Excuses.

Not all sans serif fonts are Comic Sans. And that is not Comic Sans.

Re: Next Mayor 2019

Oh FFS. The federal government literally sued the KC government over the sewer systems. Basic services in this town are a complete failure. You all are going to be embarrassed to read your own posts once the development bubble pops. No I won't. Because I don't come here to say embarrassing shit. I ...

Re: Next Mayor 2019

Huh. The KCEB still has the total around 40K votes in all. 54K would be 25% of registered KCMO voters - which (sadly) seems pretty good for a municipal primary.

Re: Pitch's "City Rag" podcast

It was a lot of tongue in cheek stuff - nothing ground breaking. But it was relatively entertaining. They talked a bit about the predatory nature of one place moving in after another opened - and touched on the health inspector issues of the Chubby's place. Some good Lutfi's and other mentions. It's...

Pitch's "City Rag" podcast

Anybody listen to this yet? listening to an episode they have on Broadway's "Crab District" (which I feel should be attributed to this site, but whatever). This is the first time I've listened - seems like it could be OK. It's just nice to have some local content. Any other good KC podcasts out ther...

Re: Next Mayor 2019

Let's see - can we pair the poster who never says anything of value with the candidate who does the same.

Hint: It rhymes with Sleve Tiller.
