Re: Tornado hits Georgia Dome during SEC Tournament game.
The remainder of the SEC Tournament has been moved to Alexander Coliseum on the campus of Georgia Tech. Since seating is limited there, only family members and media will be able to attend the games even if a ticket had been purchased for the games at the Georgia Dome

Re: Tornado hits Georgia Dome during SEC Tournament game.
Looking at the damage on TV, it looks like there's no way that was not a tornado that hit downtown Atlanta. Lots of debris such as traffic lights on Marietta St and major damage to the CNN Center, Omni Hotel, Philips Arena, collapsed billboards, down traffic lights, and partial collapses of some old...

Re: Sprawl comparisons
Sprawl isn't good. Everyone knows and unfortunately, it's caused a lot of people to have negative perceptions of these cities. So does anyone have a solution before Kansas City grows into a city that falls into this category?

Re: Belton to build hockey arena?
I wonder how many metros have large downtown arenas for major league tenants as well as smaller arenas in suburban areas. Off top, I can think of two metros, Los Angeles has Staples Center downtown as well as an arena in Anahiem and Atlanta has Philips Arena downtown and the Arena at Gwinnett Center...

Chiefs cut veteran strong safety Knight Ten-year veteran strong safety Sammy Knight, a one-time Pro Bowl performer who ranks third in interceptions among active players, was released by the Kansas City Chiefs on Wednesday, ESPN.com has learned. The release came after the sides could not agree on a ...

Re: New MO License Plates
I think the winning design would look better if they somehow incorporated the ribbon onto the bluebird design because the word "Missouri" looks kind of plain to me on the bluebird design

Re: White ATL suburbs seek to secede from Fulton County
Well, as a resident of North Fulton County, Georgia and comparing this side of Fulton County to what's south of downtown Atlanta, I would think that it makes more sense that more money would be sent to South Fulton County. That's where it's most needed at the time. But this really has a long ways to...

Re: Kansas City Kings?
Anaheim (specifically the owner of the NHL's Ducks and the Arrowhead Pond, Henry Samuelson) has made overtures to bringing a team to Anaheim, but I haven't heard a peep from the Lakers or Clips. I think that's because they just opened the Staples Center about 5 or 6 years ago though. I think it wou...

Re: Chiefs
I made the trip to St. Louis to see this one personally. It was funny to see how pumped the St. Louis fans were before the game and the sad faces as they headed for the exits with about 4:00 left to go in the 4th. It might not have sounded on TV but the Chiefs fans were there in full force today

Re: Chiefs
They're in good position in the AFC West right now and with teams like Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, and Denver losing, the wildcard doesn't seem like such a long shot after all. I think this week made that Thanksgiving night game at Arrowhead a lot more interesting assuming the Chiefs take care of busine...

Re: Tornado tower resurfaces
Well, I'm not sure how tall this thing is supposed to be but a tower like that should be put in downtown KCK and not out in the middle of Edwardsville somewhere. I think it will reinforce everyone else's thoughts linking Kansas to the Wizard of Oz and tornadoes

Re: Chiefs
After watching today's game, I'm happy that the Chiefs won but they seriously need to address the wide receiver position. They were dropping just about everything out there today especially Sammie Parker (with the exception of his TD catch)

Re: Grandview Triangle
With the recent name change from the "Grandview Triangle" to "3-Trails Crossing Memorial Highway", would you have renamed it this or something else? I understand that it's the heritage of the area but I think that's too many words to be saying on a traffic report. Plus, I think t...

Re: Chiefs
Did not get to see the game but hearing that they've already equaled their loss total at home from last year isn't an encouraging sign and neither is Trent Green getting blasted and the O live giving up 7 sacks. I just saw a couple of highlights. Why were the Chiefs wearing white at home? Maybe they...

Re: was your high school designed by people who also design prisons?
I would think so. If anyone has seen or been inside of Hickman Mills High School, none of the classrooms had windows when I went. Just recently did they add windows to the building. The only places with windows were the cafeteria and the library
