I believe one is a single tree

I also believe that building short makes it easier to tear down in the future for something bigger. Building bigger and having empty lots produces a better long term result

Has there been any confirmation it's a hotel?

So are there 4 cranes up in KC downtown right now? 1) This building 2) Arterra 3) New Convention Hotel - someone said it was going up early 4) development immediately south of Crown center The base of a crane for the big Children's Mercy expansion is up. So there's three up and two more coming soon...

I love Burlington, but it would bring in the wrong purely ghetto element.
It will never, ever happen.

7-8 floors would keep the skyline density intact, allow them to start both tomorrow and then negotiate with the owners of the 12th & Grand lot to build something super tall and mixed use. (win, win, win) What do you mean by "keep the skyline density intact"? The idea is to put less mo...

Theirs no Movie Theater at that intersection. Maybe they reopen the forth floor and first 2 maybe a store like Goody's Family Clothing and other 2 Dunham Sports or Dick's. Goody's Family Clothing hasn't technically existed for a decade now. Stage picked up their best locations and the name, and Sta...

Re: Hospital Hill activity

Look what happened when the Cosby Hotel was threatened. The media covered it. The community rallied and a solution was found. The media didn't cover it for years until someone saw the demo permit in time. The owner had no interest of putting the tear down in the media. He was also involved with the...

Then please describe the very public efforts they made, and provide the examples (media clips, newspaper articles, press releases, public statements), because I'm just not seeing it. Trying to relocate doesn’t require a public media campaign. Look at how many real estate transactions happen silentl...

Re: Fixing KC's lack of downtown parking?

Every public garage has a big blue P. I see one on the east end of the Kauffman Center garage and the SW corner. How do I know this is there from the I-35 exit to Broadway so I know it there? How does the big B at 17th and Broadway tell me to go north on Wyandotte to park? What if I turned at 16th ...

He’s had some weird plans and some that at least made a little sense This one is just weird. The soccer village is normally dead, why end there? And gondolas across downtown? This is a market report and what you got out of it was one place was a company expected to enter the market (it hasn't) and something so vague that it might be a business that opened in Liberty?

Owner isn’t responding, the city is holding hearings because of this.

Trick is to report it more often and get more people reporting. The process is stupid slow but it’s happening.
