Re: KC Bike share

I missed one the first time, look at Longview Lake. (or they're still adding to the map)

That's seven new ones.

Re: OFFICIAL - Corrigan Building

^ Cash is close to obsolete. Shouldn't be a need for an ATM. Even checks will be gone fairly quickly. All digital. When the apocalypse comes, cash will be king. Stores of guns and ammunition safely protected will be king. On this topic the Corrigan building would be horrible in the apocalypse. The ...

My count was at 85.4% that 4918 ballots is a higher turnout. It's fair to say that anything approaching 4900 is a comparable election turnout.

Re: OFFICIAL - Corrigan Building

People always under estimate how long it takes to do away with something. Our physical environment will have bank drive thrus for some time. The long tail idea says if the cost is low enough to serve a market someone will. In the digital and technological era it's way easier to serve these customers...

they may plan a drive-thru bank, but they won't get one. it's a special use permit for that zoning code (DX-15). they got the same chilly reception when a previous drive-thru plan was floated for that spot (and guess what? they ended up there anyway without a drive-thru). two of the most recent ban...

Re: Clay Chastain coming back with light rail

Second time in a year. His last one was on the 2016 presidential election. One or two before that one (2012 or 2014?) was extremely poorly written and the city killed it, he sued and the state supreme court threw out everything except the tax on the ballot. He started actually working with the city ...

70 rooms, 7 floors. It's 10 rooms per floor.

Based on the windows, looks like there's five rooms on each side of a floor facing east and west.

It's clearly a 100% how to not spend money plan

Re: Plaza move-ins (ongoing)

I would like to see a road diet where it has wider sidewalks so restaurants can setup outside seating and shops can have sidewalk sales but it's not closed to traffic.

right now it's so wide that a truck can park in the middle and block no one.

judging from their KCK and KCMO locations, likely another lunch only operation. kind of a bummer, and was hoping for some kind of ethnic food, but better than vacant. Lunch is where all the money is in restaurants. If they do it smart they will tune their lunch business like Plowboys did to the poi...
