Re: If you HAD to move to the Kansas side, where? (POLL)

Re: If you HAD to move to the Kansas side, where? (POLL)
I do HAVE to live on the KS side (residency requirements for wife's job) and we have chosen the Rosedale area around KU Med. Strawberry Hill was a close second and I have many friends that live there. I've really grown to like the area, I can easily walk to restaurants and bars on 39th, the new wood...

We should be designing for the person who is currently afraid to ride their bike in the street. The best thing we can do to incr...

Family Dollar is now trying to put a store in at 4601 Troost. They are going in front of the BZA June 11 @ 12:30 (City Hall 26 floor). They are seeking variances to the maximum parking requirement at BRT stops, minimum required square feet of interior landscaping in parking lots, minimum required la...

Re: Joe Reardon not running for reelection
I don't know. Apparently a family member was in the same graduating class with Brownback at KU Law. Just some overheard gossip. Trying to find out more.Financed by the same people who finance him, or him directly? Guessing the former.

Re: 39th St./KU Med development?
KU Med Facilities Master Plan http://www.kumc.edu/Documents/evc/Campus%20Facilities%20Master%20Plan.pdf If KU infills some of those vacant lots/parking lots along 39th and improves the street with landscaping, it starts to become feasible that people will walk from 39th St. west in KCMO to 39 Rainb...

I've heard rumors that Ann Murguia's campaign is being financed by Sam Brownback.

Re: Midtown Plaza Area Plan
Ha, that was me on the TeeVee. :) To be fair, I was hit at 47th and Mission (Outside of the Midtown Area). I was wearing a bright yellow jersey and had three blinking lights on me. Some old lady passed me and then turned right into me. (she was turning into the now defunct Apple Market parking lot)....
