Re: Big 12 Basketball 2008

I think KU will be awesome this year, much better than last year.  Picking up Henry can help put us over the top.  But, with that said, MU still scares me, especially if we lose Collins and Aldrich.  It feels like we're almost taking a step back by going younger and starting Henry, and who knows how...

Re: Chiefs

They showed a lot last year. I would say that Thigpen was the brightest spot on the entire team, after Tony Gonzales.  Not too bad for a kid from nowhere, who was the benchwarmer's benchwarmer (Third String).  Looks like I'm the only one who remembers how Anemic the offense was the first 3 ga...

Re: AMC coming to Empire, Midland to be restored...

200 - 400-ish aperture? you mean focal length? That's rather rudimentary.... you know. My mistake, I didn't get a chance to proofread on my way out of work.  I suppose that's what happens when your brain is 4 lines ahead of what you're typing.  Either way, what EL rating we're you using on those sh...

Re: Schlitterbahn Waterpark and Resort

Anyone else been by there recently?  I wonder when the actual rides will start to go up! I'm deffinately going to be taking the kids there this summer, if it ever opens!  I went to the one in New Braufels a few years back, and they have water slides and tube things that actually go uphill, its so co...

Re: AMC coming to Empire, Midland to be restored...

But, I've got to know, can you name me the exact term for the processing I used and what computer software I may have used in all those photos? I'm sure that you used multiple image effects, and various types of post processing with high dynamic range tone mapping to obtain your final outcome, righ...

Re: Chiefs

Either way I'm looking forward to the upcoming season.  Whats your take on the draft, I say we take that guy from Wake, the LB.  I saw him in one game ths season, and he looked amazing.

Re: AMC coming to Empire, Midland to be restored...

And congrats to Tosspot on having one of his pictures on their website! http://www.amctheatres.com/theatres/domestic/mainstreet/history.html I'll have to chime in with another pat on the back to Pot for getting that picture publicized.  I know how tough that can be sometimes.  I still think it woul...

blujdude, the most obvious sock on kcrag. Thanks, goes to show what a pre-teen wannabe you obviously are.  Name calling?  Really? Look buddy, I haven't posted here in nearly a year...I get on, post a few times about the big dance, and out of no-where you are pointing fingers and calling people name...

Re: Big 12 Basketball 2008

I'll say it like this.  KU had the potential to be in the FF, along with many other teams.   Every team has the Potential to get to the final four win the entire tournament, which is demonstrated every year.  What's your point? THEN, MSU went onto clobber Louisville.  So Louisville was beatable, ev...

Three-Alarm Fire! (14th & Baltimore)

Just saw on the 5 o'clock news that there's a 3 alarm fire reported at 14th and Baltimore!  Anyone else see this, any idea what the building is?

Re: Photos - AMC Empire Theater restored - exterior architecture

It's just HDR - getting the details in the lightest of the lights and the darkest of the darks, which I use frequently, combined with maybe some split toning adjustments in lightroom and twiddling with the grayscale sliders and what not. That's what I figured, its amazing how much change the graysc...

Re: The ACLU

I support the ACLU and its cause.  Its just a shame that we rarely ever hear about the good things they do, and only hear of all the race protests they support and what not.  Its quite misleading...but that's how the mainstream media is.  Kinda like the modern KKK, I believe I actually read that the...

Re: Photos - AMC Empire Theater restored - exterior architecture

As for the pigeon problem: needs moar falcons. I tend to like the pigeons.  The last time I was DT they were all grouping at the top of the dome, they don't bug me nearly as much hanging around the base.  Its quite amusing actually...to see them all move down a few steps.  The only downside is the ...

Re: Photos - AMC Empire Theater restored - exterior architecture

That's toss' style. It's what makes his pictures awesome.  They over-exaggerate colors. Some of his pictures are plastic or metallic looking. That makes sense.  I wonder how he does it?  I do a lot of professional photo-shopping for a living, and I've found that the best way to clay-mate or animate...

Re: Photos - AMC Empire Theater restored - exterior architecture

Cool pictures, although I think the photoshopping could be better.  The halos around every little light are driving me insane.  That and all the blues seem too colorized & oversaturated, like in the windows reflecting the sky, it feels unnatural.  You did a great job with the picture of the dome...

Is it just me, or is this going to be the single most imposing building on our skyline! (Coming from the south on 35 anyways)
