The developer is also pitching a "green line" along the railroad tracks that would connect Westside with 18th & Vine. I guess the city owns a lot of right-of-way along the terminal railway.
None that the parcel viewer shows.

Several of the few remaining legacy buildings in the area are on the list, notably 817 Cherry, 612 E 9th, and 703 E 10th. Probably ought to start holding candlelight vigils for those structures.

Re: Misc Crossroads News

Soon enough we’ll be out of urban-form legacy industrial areas with building stock suitable for repurposing. Nobody will want to pioneer in a tin shed on a superfund site. This is why it’s important to preserve every viable pre-war building even if it’s not in a hopping area yet. Nobody would have e...

Sixth Street Trafficway is the east-west one. About mid-frame you can see where Admiral used to diagonal into it.

Re: Westport

Westport Road to the west of SW Tfwy desperately needs some traffic calming. We walked along it for a couple blocks on Saturday and it was a very uncomfortable experience. To make matters worse, QT currently has the sidewalk closed on the south side east of Mercier for their expansion.

UMKC still has over half a dozen surface parking lots and several areas of underdeveloped open space. There is plenty of room to build without demolition.

Re: beer.

Cosentino's has a small bottle cooler where you can make your own six-pack. Its stock is rotated enough that I can get a six-pack of new beers, or ones that I haven't had in a while once a month or so.

Thanks for the tip on disabling stupid 3d mode, couldn't find where they moved the setting to on desktop versio...

Simply opening up the facades of those buildings has created a dramatic improvement!

Next, I would love to see the street narrowed with wider sidewalks and street trees added.

According to this 1925 atlas, there were turning wyes at Prospect and Indiana on those lines. There was no through service east of main, though.
