it's all very nice inside, but doesn't make up for the horrendous ground-floor experience. If we want to be a great city, we cannot keep allowing this to happen. A city is not just about "density". Allowing what to happen? Making the ground floor use better would theoretically increase de...

Re: Renovations of apartment buildings along Armour Blvd.

He got it for either $5k or $15k when it was on the Dangerous Buildings list. I don't know the exact figure he was asking for but it was several times the court's appraisal. I don't know if Abnos's building is redevelopable. There are probably close to 125 possible units in there. MAC has all the pa...

Re: Troost developments

The owner of the Bakery Building has a neat idea: "An idea we've had is a "Troost Drag Race." We think this sort of out of the box fun would be a great draw across racial and socio-economic lines and help to challenge negative Troost perceptions head-on. We aren't talking about parach...

Also, Linwood and Troost is now 2 phases with (maybe) an increased unit count. Believe it was at PIEA last week.

We drove by and looked around it for a client who said it was available... but who knows if their info was accurate. We weren't with a realtor and didn't go inside.
