Re: Is Midtown Marketplace one of the city's greatest blunders?
I'd like to see UrbanLab do the same redevelopment proposal for the Main/Linwood NW intersection corner up to 31st Street and over to Wyandotte. https://www.google.com/maps/place/On+Main+at+Linwood+NB/@39.0692613,-94.5872478,471m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m6!3m5!1s0x87c0f021a19ca4df:0x7c5d4d320a429827!8m2!3d3...

Re: UMKC projects
Had coffee at Crow's last weekend and one of the other patrons swore that that strip mall was going to be torn down by the end of the year, presumably for redevelopment. Anyone heard anything similar?

Heard that the UDog wine bar is a done deal. Would love to see a more active use of the north part of Aixois. Maybe they could also make some menu updates? Checking out Bacaro Primo for lunch Saturday. Looking forward to it. With the opening of the french custard place on 59th, the Trolley Trail has...

new restaurant going into the Crestwood shops - Bacaro Primo - paper on the windows says coming Spring 2023. Assuming italian based on the name and the Peroni beer logos in the window. Notably, I am told Bacaro Primo is from the same ownership as Earl's Premier, so this bodes well. I think the succ...

Re: Is KC Tenants destroying the development future of downtown KCMO?
As a lefty, it sounds like I'm not alone in being sympathetic to their concerns while disagreeing with their specific approach. It's cold comfort for people being priced out of their housing that KC is on the low end of cities being impacted by gentrification, but the details of how and why gentrifi...

Got gas at the station across from last week. Don't think that cornice is going to stay attached much longer.

Re: Brookside
Panera in Brookside had sign today saying they are closed for good. Over in St. Louis, Paneras/Bread Cos have been closing if they don't have a drive thru. That might be the case over in KC too. Ones in high pedestrian traffic areas like the Central West End, had theirs closed because of no drive t...

Re: 2023 KCMO Election
Which is the embarrassing part? The accusations, or the fact that someone made an ugly sign using a random, anonymous post on Reddit as the source? This is basically right across the street from Crissy Dastrup's house, so it sounds like it's some petty neighbor drama. I don't know Crissy personally...

Re: Can KC Secede and join Kansas?
I wouldn’t put your faith in KS. State level KS GOP members have been EXTREMELY honest about what they want to do and how they want to do it. ^^^^^ You may need to check who is in the KS legislature. They are just as right wing as MOs. This will be the last decade they can sustain that. In fact one...
