While the plants look nice I wonder why they would want to cover up the sign on the window.

Re: Status and future of the River Market area??
I concur. Ate there last night and tried 3 bowls ("Good" size bowl, which is the smaller of the 2 options and plenty of food), they were all very different and all excellent. They didn't have beer but had just received their license and expect they will be selling booze real soon. I ate t...

Re: Status and future of the River Market area??
A couple of new options coming in the River Market this summer. Our Daily Nada opening in July, Freestyle Poke this weekend, and I just heard a rumor that The Mixx might open a place in the area down here. Not sure if the Mixx would keep both P&L and RM if they did that though. Freestyle Poke at...

Most of the work right now is on the underside of the bridge.shaffe wrote:Has anybody seen any actual work done on the bridge since it was closed? I drive northbound every day around 2:45 and I've never seen any sign of workers, though much of the work may be needed on the underside of the bridge.

Re: Status and future of the River Market area??
Boy we are tired of hearing this ongoing circulating non truth. From the horse's mouth: they are very happy staying and both the Farmhouse and Landlord are working to make the opportunity even better. And BTW, there is no increase in rent. Not sure that's the entire story, but glad to hear you and ...

Re: Status and future of the River Market area??
Interesting. Thought Anton was going to put a burger place in that space. Lots of big plans when the prior occupants lease was jacked up. This is what Slawson said last September. Anton was definitely interested, but I'm betting he didn't like the lease terms being offered. “We offered them a renew...

Re: Status and future of the River Market area??
Speaking of prime locations that aren't being well utilized in the neighborhood, has anyone heard if the former Winslows BBQ space in the City Market is going to be leased? THAT would have been a better spot for an ice cream shop in my opinion. On another River Market related note: I saw a notice on...

Re: Status and future of the River Market area??
New ice cream shop on a prime spot of Delaware in the River Market. Feels like a less-than-ideal use of that space. I like ice cream and all, but that place should be something that brings in traffic all year round. I guess the slowly-maybe-being-refurbished streetcar in that corner won't be the ice...

Re: KCMO Downtown Streetcar
I have found the "app" pretty unreliable especially in the past few weeks, but the streetcar schedule has been very regular and frequent which is what really matters to me. there is a known issue with the android "KCityPost" app. iOS works fine. you can always track vehicles her...

Re: KCMO Downtown Streetcar
Have to scratch my head on the "unreliable" comment. I ride the streetcar almost daily multiple times a day typically and live right along the streetcar line. It's been very reliable with very few exceptions. Especially compared to my experiences with other mass transit. I just need it to ...

Sign up on Wyandotte showing new townhomes. Got some details saying they would like to start construction within 6 months...no estimate on prices yet. Confirmed he is doubling down not moving? pretty sure it's a separate concept. i want to say he told me it was going to be a burger joint, now that he's raising his own cattle. Re: Status and future of the River Market area??
The supposed ice cream vendor that was going in the "antique" streetcar was never real. Supposedly was just a conversation the developer had and he liked the sound of it so.... It will look nice once they fix it up I hope. I want to love the idea, but at the moment I'm skeptical. And yes t...

Re: OFFICIAL - ARTerra (21st and Wyandotte)
Sorry, but I'm not very educated on real estate issues as they relate to the condo market. Liability for what? Defaulting on a home loan? Lets take one example that I'm familiar with: Developer builds condo with his LLC. Much like with a new single family home, that builder is liable for the buildi...
