The story I heard is that Columbus Park neighbors decided that the scale of this development project should conform to the existing height and density of Columbus Park, and communicated that to the LCRA and to the developer.

Bldg was built in 1892, facades altered in 1952, btw. Not historic.

Great, the first East side grants go to a Leawood developer. I'm sure that won't be a headline.

What the PIEA approved was a property tax abatement, not a grant from the program that the mayor proposed recently.
