Re: Does any non-KU non-KSU fan want MU to stay in the Dead

Oh, one more thing. It's the SEC, not the Big 10. I just don't get it. It's a whole different ball game down in the south.

The only losers in this game are the people of Kansas City.

Re: Does any non-KU non-KSU fan want MU to stay in the Dead

Listen, I initially understood why Nub and CU wanted to leave the conference. There was clearly a disconnect internally within the Big XII, and UT was wielding too much influence. When A&M wanted to leave, I understood their position as well. The Longhorn network was just another nail in the cof...

How to check your credit?

Honest question.

What's the best way to check your credit?

I know there are 3 leading credit rating agencies, but how do I check and what's a typical rate?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Big 12 is fine, everybody off the ledge...oh yeah, we lost NU/CU and get more $$

I don't fully understand the benefit Texas would have if they go independent.  If the the Big 12 revenue is split evenly, wouldn't 10 schools bring in more revenue than just one school?  Or, does Texas make so much that it doesn't matter? Just listened to a podcast from Chip Brown at Orangebloods.c...

Re: 2011 Chiefs

Looks like we signed former Ravens nose tackle Kelly Gregg. Not a bad pickup.  I really wanted Franklin from SF, but Gregg will do. Plus, it's only a 1 year contract.  I'm not sure what's happening with our 3rd round pick Houston.  He seems to be demanding 1st or 2nd round money, but his off the fie...

Re: GO ROYALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I believe that's 5 homers in the last 4 games. Billy seems to have revamped his swing with Seitzer as they mentioned on the game last night.  Really concentrating on keeping his bat longer in the zone and trying to elevate at the point of contact. It's unbelievable to think he only had 7 HR's or som...

Re: AWD Car in KC winter weather

I've heard such mixed reviews of Audi's so it's nice to get some direct owner experiences shared here. I always loved the a4 quattros, but I still remain extremely cautious of their reliability.  I've had 3 friends who I trust tell me never to buy an Audi.  They've had a lot of electrical and mechan...

Re: OFFICIAL: Power & Light District

I'm not usually one to complain about things but this is absolutely stupid. I hate to say this, but I frequent the PNL way too much then I'd like to admit. I'm there usually every other weekend (if not every weekend) and this whole $10 admittance fee is not something I'm willing to pay for anymore. ...

Re: H&M coming to Plaza

H&M in Kansas City is a great get. Uniqlo in NYC along with Zara and Made Men (something of that sort) are the places I love to shop at in SoHo. H&M is fine for what it is, a store to get fashionable trendy attire at really great prices.  I believe they are a European brand, and their clothe...

Re: Proposed $30M Residential Development near Plaza

I really hope this project receives the support to move forward.  My gf lives in the 45 Madison apartments and from what I can tell, they don't have any issues renting the place out.  It seems like most of the units are filled, and the property manager company has changed bringing in much needed imp...

Re: Plaza move-ins (ongoing)

FWIW (not much), the doors to the old Banana Republic space next to Gap were open this morning (around 7:50a) and some work was going on inside. Could this be the rumored H&M? Stay tuned to find out! KCRag Eyes on the Street(R) Crossing fingers!!! That would be a welcomed addition to KC! Now if...

Re: Raglan Road eviction, new Famous Dave's tenant, KC Hopps to P&L

Um, $49,000 a month???

I know it's already a dead issue but that is absolutely ridiculous.

Mind you, that figure probably doesn't include taxes, insurance, and CAM charges.

I'd love to see an OK Joe's in the PNL along with a great nightclub.  KC's nightclub options are extremely weak.

The city has managed to stay ahead of it... has brought in all sorts of pumping equipment.  Having an uneventful CWS has definitely been a priority. Hopefully, after the crowds leave... all hell doesn't break lose (read... airport under 10 feet of water... or 30,000 evacuated from Council Bluffs......

Yea, I'm thinking Gulf Shores or the Pensacola area.  It's really not that much farther down the road. If we end up going, I'll be sure and post pics!

Biloxi, MS or Gulf Shores, AL?

Hey guys. The GF and I are planning a trip to the beach for Memorial Day. We both agreed that we'd like to take a road trip, and we're trying to decide where the closest and nicest beach is.  From the look of things, it looks like Biloxi or Gulf Shores may be the closest options.  Has anyone been to...

The gf and I went by their DT location after visiting the CBE last Sunday, they were closed.

We frequent their Westport location and I'd have to say they have awesome Bubble (boba) tea.

Re: Noodle places

No one ever answered this and I have the same question - can anyone get a good bowl of ramen in KC? Seems like fresh-made ramen is a big culinary trend, at least on the coasts. I saw some program on it the other day and it got me jonesing for some good noodles. I agree, Ramen in L.A. is gaining imm...
