Re: OFFICIAL - Prairiefire

The development defaulted on its bond obligations to the state of Kansas. It isn’t bias to address this area as a failure from an objective economic outlook. It's a much nicer area than anything in KCMO Also for context I live barely 3 miles away from here. It’s not like I’m snubbing my nose. I’m l...

Re: OFFICIAL - Pennway Point

It's not all about what you can see, it's about the experience. I've been on the one in Chicago, Las Vegas and NY and it's an awesome experience being hundreds of feet up to view the city... the one in New Jersey could have been half the size and you would have the same view but they still made it 3...

Re: New Coaster coming to WOF

It's a hybrid coaster. Not a wood coaster. Of course it's small, "rough" (Though it's not actually rough.. it just tosses you back and forth a lot.. which is a feature. Rough would be the Timberwolf experience), and fast. It's not kid friendly. I'm not sure where everyone got this idea th...

Re: New Coaster coming to WOF

Has anybody ridden the new Zambezi Zinger? Youtube reviews by coaster enthusiasts have been pretty poor. They all say it's small, rough, not very thrilling and not very comfortable trains. Plus another woody in a park that already had two but is lacking in many other types of coasters. I was hoping...

Of those flags, which one(s) would add the most bang for the city's buck (marketing, tourist choice, stay-cations for locals, etc...)? All but Hard Rock probably fill a unique gap in the market. Hard Rock is a specialty brand so idk i feel like we should have a hard rock somewhere in the P&L di...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium

The Royals aren't going to stay there so it's a moot point. Even with no tax support? They need about the same amount of money to remodel the current stadium. The entire lower bowl likely needs to be rebuilt. So if they don't get tax support from Jackson County they will move to where they can get ...

Re: The Midland Lofts (formerly Midland Office Building)

Studios and 1BR aren’t selling as fast as larger units. Is this because even singles and couples without kids want extra space for WFH? Shouldn’t developers be adjusting to demand? I could be wrong but I think does the amount of one bedroom studios has something to do with the contract the cordiah ...

I'd trust neither to maintain this park but modot is out of the question. I mean, just look at 70. They just flat out don't care
