I detect a distinct reduction in charred rosemary garnishes. How sad.

Re: Two Light - 14th & Grand

Oh I remember that, just didn't want things to get escalated to that level. Isn't that the thread that got KCDC booted? Yep. Super nice guy IRL, but he's just vicious with the personal attacks online when he gets mad about something. Can an old timer explain "KCDEV"? Devin was a young lad...

At least Bannister is relatively centralized and in the cityish. I'd argue it's a modestly better location than TSC.

Re: We need a new airport!!!

Southwest, which just so happens to own the most flights, is particularly bad because the gate areas are so narrow and people insist on queueing up way before they're supposed to, not only adding unnecessary bodies for people to navigate through/around, but confusing the issue for those who are supp...

Re: We need a new airport!!!

I was already sold on and voted for the new terminal, but I flew for the holidays after a not having flown for a while and it was fairly awful. Granted it was Christmas Eve-eve and probably somewhat busier than usual, but the time it took to push my way through the masses of people to get from B40 t...

Re: Who owns the @kcrag twitter handle?

I vaguely remembered having a conversation along these lines some years ago, and dug this up from 2013: Also, tweeting @kcrag or @thekcrag won't get to me. I don't use twitter. I own @kcrag, but I haven't touched it since the great biped carnivores roamed the landscape in the late Cretaceous period....

Re: Amenities missing from downtown

Not sure about the hours, I usually just check-in with QLess and go when it says I can over "lunch". Don't have to do it often, but I'm pretty sure it works on both sides of the building. Can anyone confirm or deny? Been a couple years.

Re: Status and future of the River Market area??

I just remember Nica's menu being a confusing mess of combinations and thinking it looked exactly like the kind of menu Gordon Ramsay would roll his eyes at and tell the chef to stop trying to be so clever.

Re: KC transit-oriented development push (TOD)

Why does TOD only have to be in the urban core? That seems to be the missing piece. Easily 3/4 of city residents are in a suburban area Well, if you start doing TOD in suburban areas... won't they stop being suburban areas? Exactly. And when you think this way, a train towards the airport (even bui...

To be fair, given that crippling if not outright dismantling the State Department is his intent and consistent with the wishes of some in the Trump/Bannon anti-state base, it kinda depends on what you mean by effective.

Once you've already demonstrated in the face of all the evidence to the contrary that you are convinced there is, in fact, a wolf, and you are happy to cry about it loudly and often, even when the veracity of your wolf claims are in doubt by virtually everyone who knows what they're talking about, I...
