Re: Three Light

I agree. The Skyline looks great and will only look better with the addition of the Light buildings and Convention Hotel. My biggest beef with the Light buildings is the name/signage they use (Just seems like not much thought was put into the naming). I know the names were likely part of the brandin...

Re: Fixing KC's lack of downtown parking?

With Uber, Lyft, soon to be self driving cars, is this really a problem we should be focused on at the moment? We need to think forward not backwards. I suspect there will be an abundance of parking spots within the next 10 years.

Re: Politics

Anyone else read the "memo"? I read it and it is hard for me to find a lot of issues with the FBI/Justice dept from it. It sounds like a lot of flame bait. Maybe there is bias, but either way there are still issues raised that have to be investigated and it seems to be a constant theme wit...

Re: KC to STL Hyperloop

The biggest issue I have in that video is that he makes the assumption that Hyperloop will be a complete vacuum devoid of any air. When in reality it will be a vacuum in the sense that there will be more of a suction (lower pressure in front of the train, higher behind) and then having mag lev push ...

Oh I remember that, just didn't want things to get escalated to that level. Isn't that the thread that got KCDC booted?

Re: Two Light - 14th & Grand

Man, I need a drink after reading all that. My initial thoughts are that a co-working space is a bit underwhelming for an entertainment district, but I get the reason Cordish wants them. Spark seems to be a very different flavor of co-working space. As the population grows downtown and more amenitie...

Apparently though the $30 million fee the city would own if they don't meet their obligations is still on the table.

Re: Former Children's Palace Toy Store

I still think mgsports is KCDCChef incognito. Trying to mess with us all and the Kansas development. If true, I've been more than impressed with his commitment!

Re: We need a new airport!!!

Here's my concern. These types of issues should have been known and discussed well before it approached a formal vote. This just makes our city look stupid. If you have problems with the MOU, discuss those problems with the vendor, if they refuse to resolve them (which it doesn't sound like what hap...

Re: We need a new airport!!!

My biggest concern with the design is that there isn't enough width in the terminal as compared to some of our counterparts. Looking at the Star's view of Indy, Raleigh-Durham, and Ft. Meyer's airports they all had more square footage than the proposed single terminal. I'm not suggesting we have to ...

Re: We need a new airport!!!

Every naysayer should have to watch this video. I know Mark Van Loah is the one explaining everything and he's the one who got us into the mess the wrong way, but this really sheds light on why a renovation won't work. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VsPYlHmlmRc&feature=youtu.be

Nelson-Atkins Museum is installing mini golf course on lawn http://fox4kc.com/2017/10/18/nelson-atkins-museum-is-installing-mini-golf-course-and-they-want-your-help-to-design-it/ Seems kinda cheesy. I hope it's well executed. I've yet to see anything substantial that they've failed to execute on, s...
