Re: We need a new airport!!!

I'm hoping we get some more international destinations via Southwest. We just flew from Houston Hobby to Belize and there were a lot of KC folks on the Southwest flight.

Is the 1% for art deal part of this project? Since it isn’t municipal bonds I am not sure.

Next use for the Harley Davidson plant

Anyone know if there are any plans for the Harley Davidson plant and its employees? Would we be able to lure Tesla here using the plant and employee base to build their Semi or Model Y?

Child trafficking, remittance dependence, loss of cultural heritage, family seperation and breakdown, drug trade work...there are so many negatives to migration. I used to work in third world countries in an aid capacity. Americans are the most generous people in the world but the most sloppy with ...

Re: Politics

Completely agree. We have the lowest unemployment rate in decades and have now flipped the corner of there being more available jobs than workers to fill them. We need immigration (legal) to support this country as we continue to age as a nation. The workers outside of the baby boomer generation do...

Re: Politics

I have not advocated for corporations to be allowed to exploit undocumented immigrants in lieu of paying citizens a living wage, but the main thing that empowers corporations to exploit immigrants is their undocumented status. They can't report their employers without risking deportation, so they t...

Re: Politics

Exxon would have been aware of the risk beforehand and is likely insured to the hilt. Not to mention the corruption and societal abuse that probably went along with the exploration and implementation. CAPITALISM! Hey, I’m not giving a justification, just the thought in why a corporate executive wou...

Re: Politics

All while working with the governments to assist with the problems they are having (not easy, I get it, but still something that needs to be done). Second, we need to invest in our own immigration process, we need more judges, faster processing, more immigration employees and more direct rules for ...

Re: Politics

Pretty much. I believe we need to monitor it and perhaps limit it at some point. I believe it should be regulated to the extent we can keep out terrorists, weapons and narcotics. However, I have yet to see any evidence that we have reached some crisis stage of immigration. So, yeah - citizenship fo...

Re: OFFICIAL - Loews Convention Hotel (formerly Hyatt)

I know we don't have any cladding up yet, but just looking at all the curves and jut outs in the concrete going up, I feel like the renderings didn't do this project any justice. This is going to be a unique looking hotel in the end.

Re: Hyperloop between KC and STL

Can't find the link, but the Saudi's pulled their $1 billion investment in Virgin Hyperloop because Branson pulled out of the Davos in the Desert thing due to the Journalist being murdered. That will likely have two outcomes. 1. it might mean that VHO refocuses efforts on the US since they had been ...
