Re: 2019 Mayor/Council Elections

Who is the candidate that will be most likely to continue our resurgence DT? Jolie. No doubt. The only knock for me on her is the airport developer choice, but she seems good. I liked Lucas too but he seems to be turning anti-DT development. Canady is whip smart. It’s probably a three person race. ...

Justus back in the race.

Who is the candidate that will be most likely to continue our resurgence DT? It seems that everyone is running on cutting TIFs and redistributing development when we still have so much to do to build our core.

We scour Amazon looking to save a dollar on our products instead of worrying where it’s made, environmental standards, how the employees were treated, or that our neighbors were laid off for a foreign worke...

Can they build on their half of the alley? Are there no setbacks in KC?
Seems they would either want to build in it or secure joint access with the neighbor. Having half a wasted alley would be pointless if the neighbor builds in their half.

Re: 1800 Walnut

That alley was vacated, so they do not own the entire thing. A vacation splits the public property between the adjacent owners. But, they would still have it for access to the garage. Make the garage entrance to the west. Honestly, I like this building. Not perfect, but unique, tall enough and fill...

Re: OFFICIAL - Hampton Inn (16th & Main)

Is this building not going to have windows facing DT or have they just not cut the openings for them yet? Seems strange if they don’t have windows with a view. Might be because the lot to the north could build and block the windows.

There are so many empty lots in Valentine from houses that KC Life tore down. Putting single family at Uptown doesn’t make any sense. For one thing, you’d have constant noise complaints from the new homes with any Uptown Theater concert.
