Re: World Cup 2026 at Arrowhead?

I recently heard something along the lines of "economic impact on host cities is in the billions". Is this true? Probably for all host cities in aggregate. Certainly not for a single host city. It isn't a local team (unless the USA draws your city), so you could potentially have 40 to 60k...

Re: We need a new airport!!!

So who are the 500 people that voted yes on 2 and no on 3? And are there just 11,000 that vote no on everything, no matter what?

They’ve already abated that.

Re: KC to STL Hyperloop

The economic difference between this and other modes of transport is that it potentially could have departures 24/7. They are projecting being able to launch a pod a minute. More like a tollway. So much higher capacity = lower per ride fees. In urban areas, it will most likely be underground.

It is not even remotely difficult to get out of the TSC after a Royals game. Chiefs, yes, I don't know what the Chiefs did to F that up after 45 years but somehow the...

Re: New Broadway Bridge

Any decent urban planner will tell you increasing lanes does nothing to improve congestion, in fact, it typically makes it worse. It's called the rule of induced demand.
