Re: Status and future of the River Market area??
Isn't there a weird circle fountain thing right there in the middle of former Walnut St? It is a circle with holes in it. Yeah, I always thought there was, but no evidence on google maps. Looking at Bing it shows the roundabout that use be at the south entrance. I think there used to be a fountain ...

Re: Status and future of the River Market area??
Why not curve the whole road to the east and eat up some of the wide plaza areas in front of the Arabia Museum, while preserving the fountain and the "public square"? Basically, keep all the traffic and parking to the east of the median in the current rendering. The fountain is east of the museum b...

Longest I could get was 38 miles. The intersection of Bethel and 92, north of the airport, to Horridge and Cass-Jackson road, just east of Lee's Summit.

If they can't get such a minor, "stupid" issue correct.. Then how are you going to be able to trust them to run a city.. To say it more clearly, pulling your support from a candidate over the renaming of a road is stupid. Voting for changing the name of a road is not a sign of incompetence. Politic...

Re: P&L District: 13th & Walnut Site Proposal
Last time we were in town, we stopped in there during the afternoon for lunch and it was dead. There may have been one other person in there. All of downtown KC always feels pretty much dead to me though. It's just the way KC is. But I was surprised how dead the Ice place was. The branding is prett...

Looks like the Westport CID is on a path to bankruptcy within a few years. https://twitter.com/catreidtv/status/1095739263738630145 "Continuing increases in security expenses that outpace the allowable increases in annual assessment rates and reduce other services offered by the CID continue to pre...

Re: Next Mayor 2019
What a stupid issue to pivot on. So many issues facing this city and your going to change your vote over the name of a street? It has nothing to do with the literal significance (or insignificance) of the name change, and everything to do with the disregard for the people's (and their constituents)...

Re: Would you like to see the Royals move to a downtown stadium?
^i see pros and cons but come on, 81 home games per season is more than just a 'few nights of the year' I’d rather spend a billion on the convention center, which would add more hotel room nights and spin off revenue than a ballpark subsidy. But, hey, I hate the sportsballs. I agree. About the conv...

Why on earth would they stop in Missouri? If this thing works like they hope it will they will start building out to Dallas and Chicago so that they are connected to communities with real populations numbers and real freight needs. The rest of the country from there. If they want to monitize this t...

Re: Would you like to see the Royals move to a downtown stadium?
Ah, er, half the people could walk to a downtown stadium. simple entertainment value for day games and after work. visit other cities with urban stadiums, I mean integrated, urban stadiums, not St Louis. They walk, sure cars and busses too. Denver doesnt even have light rail hit the stadium but peo...
