Re: New Mizzou Endzone Project

Great series in the Columbian about Mizzou's move to the SEC. The last one is about declining football attendance across the country and the move to downsize stadiums. https://www.columbiamissourian.com/sports/mizzou_sports/south-end-zone-project-exemplifies-sec-s-unrelenting-arms-race/article_196c5...

80% average. That means he has a lot of 100% nights that he turns away business. And then some nights where he is only 50-60% capacity. It would be unusual for a hotel to average 100% capacity.

Big box stores can't be reused since they have no value to anyone else for tax purposes. Actually, I've been in several diffrent reused big box stores this year. One was subdivided into a Gym and a hardware store (Lees Summit), a nursing college (Bolivar, Mo), a warehouse, and a basketball/pickleba...

Re: Next Mayor 2019

The General wants to move the airport to the sports complex ("inside Jackson County"), move the stadiums to the east side, and build a new "car plant". MCI is about 5800 acres, Wheller is about 430 acres, TSC is about 500 acres. So I guess if you expanded TSC a bit you could wedge an airport in the...

Plenty of parking in downtown KCK! If it's going to Kansas I would rather it go there than anywhere else. That would be a hell of a view. Why have this view: https://i.imgur.com/qHQU7Ko.jpg When you could have this one: https://i.imgur.com/jggt34H.jpg I jest, of course. You could find a way to have...

Re: Would you like to see the Royals move to a downtown stadium?

Actually, if you want the best views of downtown, and want to make use of the most worthless real estate in Downtown, build it where the ball fields are in Penn Valley Park. A short walk from the streetcar. Plenty of bus lines. Walking distance to many potential bar districts. True. The current sof...
