Church of the Nazarene HQs moving to Lenexa.

Religious orgs are nice amenities to have in a community, but no one EVER recruits them as they actually create a minor strain on local governing authorities. Sure they create a few jobs, but they provide nothing to the local tax base, yet create an increased burden for police, fire, public works a...

Church of the Nazarene HQs moving to Lenexa.

Another score for the Kansas leeches. [-X Why is it that ignorance has overcome this forum like the plague? The Nazarene Church has a massive operation in SOuth JoCo which has already been noted in this thread. Here's an economic development secret.......CHURCHES DON'T PAY FREAKING TAXES; THEY REMO...

Spoiling the Crossroads?

It's like that everywhere. You see, the skinny and malnurished "artists" are viewed by society as Guinea Pigs. If they can survive scurrying from crevice to crevice on the crossroads, just think how a person with a job could live...........with FURNITURE! Do you think an Eddie Bauer flanne...

I wonder if any of these fat gals proclaiming that they're on the South Beach diet would even get out of their cars if they went to South Beach?

Merriam Town Center

Don't forget the amount of customers they get who work or live downtown! Petco, GNC and Dick's are specialty stores that are not present downtown. They also get a ton of customers who drive I-35 each day form the MO side or south JoCo folks who work downtown and can swing by on the way home.

Actually, Cabela's and Bass {Pro are both specialty stores who have established loyalties among their customer base. The HQ for Cabela's is in Sydney, Nebraska (nowhere's ville, USA) and it has a TREMENDOUS amount of annual traffic. The hunters, fishers, outdoor types make pilgrimages to these place...

Man Found Dead in Penn V. Park Near The Scout

Not guilty although my wife, daughter and I inadvertently scared the living hell outta some "fellas" up there one Sunday afternoon as they were preparing to mate. We pulled up to take some pics of our kid at The Scout. All these dude's were macking on one another until they saw my camera.....

How about a wax job? Better yet, why not seek bids for a sandblaster to removes a few dozen layers of eye shadow?

Planetarium gone, bad idea, it could and should have worked

I've been to Union Station many times and had no idea this thing was even there..................much like most of KC has no idea that 18th & Vine is more than just a Designer Imposter Perfume.

g2g...how do you mean fall off hard? Like as soon as you put white bread in your mouth, you blow up like a thanksgiving day balloon? I'm not so much interested in dropping pounds now....I think she wants to lose 5 pounds before spring comes back but whatever.....if I'm doing something it's not for ...

Low Carb diets

Go with it baby! I did it for about 2 months at the end of the summer....the deal works. I lost 15-20 pounds.....BUT, when you fall, you fall HARD! I think the best approach is to go low/no carb 6 days of the week and go NUTZ on the 7th. It gives you somehting to look forward to and breaks up the mo...

Jo Co's bid for H&R Block

(listening KCADC?) . KCADC goes out of its way to stay out of RETENTION projects in the metro. 99% or MORE of their effort is focused on recruiting from around the country. Dragging them into this discussion is evidence of your limited knowledge of KC Development. Nice website though. Stick with th...

KC wrote:freaking poachers.
Will you wise up??! I can say with 1000000% confidence that Kansas did not approach H&R Block, but rather it was H&R Block (or it's consultant) that requested a proposal.

OK, this is just a guess, but with the opening of "The King" today I am making the assumption that most of the posters are probably dressed up as their favorite character and waiting in line somewhere to see the last chapter of a great trilogy. Here is a question geekers---if Barnes was g...
