Re: The Fremont A's?

Good for the A's.. Although I will say that the current stadium is on a very convinent area of Oaktown on the BART route. Yeah, no kidding. I stepped out of my hotel, walked down the stairs at the corner, and road the train to the front of McAfee.  It pisses all over the commute to Kauffman and eve...

Re: GO ROYALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To be fair, Mientkiewicz isn't very good against left handed pitching, and he was facing very good left handed pitching. No surprises there. I don't know what was up with Grudzielanek at the plate. He was doing his Angel Berroa impression on low and outside sliders. I have some bad news for you.  C...

Re: What Will Tuesday's Poll Results Be? Place your bets!

very much agree. young people tend to be very urban, very pro downtown. their partents that raised them were on the cusp of the suburban migration, and now, the national trend, is moving big time towards urban, thus, the thousands upon thousands of lofts and apartments that will come on line downto...

Renovation vs New?

Does anyone know what the figures are for two new stadiums vs the renovated stadiums + the rolling roof? I think the new stadiums were actually supposed to be cheaper but cannot find information to verify that. edit: oops, sorry.  I probably should have posted this in the "New Stadiums" fo...

Re: Bi-State Facts?

You know, way back when (the 90s) we actually did a little bit of research for these little reports.  Now, just go on the internet and ask someone else to get the information for you. Try the KC Star archives, I think you can find plenty of information there.  You can search the archives for free a...

Our goal shouldn't be a respectable payroll, but my guess is around the number Glass set: $50mil.  I can find out for you if you can hang on a second.

Bi-State Facts?

Hi, guys.  I'm going to be doing a short report on bi-state for a gov't. class next week.

Any facts on the matter would be much appreciated...

Re: kansas city royals spring training

my point exactly. the kansas city royals got players that WOULD consider kc. instead of doing what they have in the past, knob, gonzo, lee smith, terry pendelton, they went after players who addressed IMEDIATE needs, instead of going after some dildo like sosa, palmeiro, something like that. they g...

Re: kansas city royals spring training

we all appreciate your negative outlook on our royals. for someone with the royals logo as their avatar, i would expect you to be more upbeat and positive about the royals, however, i will just go ahead and point out your total cluelessness about the royals. You can go ahead and try, but I am very ...

Re: kansas city royals spring training

if the royals go 82-80. that to me, would mean, we are turning a corner. The Royals won't win more than 70 games next year and more likely will struggle to reach 65.  You can quote me on that. As far as turning a corner goes, because we have (rather foolishly) supplimented our MLB roster with veter...

I think you could even get by without the "to."

Re: Hispanic focus in New Price Chopper

I remember trick-or-treating in Mission Hills once as a kid and we went to the Russell Stover mansion when we got nothing great but then at Ewing Kaufman's house I got a Royals jacket! You're not talking about the Ward family, by chance? I know one of the Ward kids, Taylor. It's right next to the R...

I just saw many shots of Arrowhead in a budweiser commercial.  It, along with the Steelers, seemed to be featured.
(I saw this commercial while watching MNF by the way.)

Re: Hispanic focus in New Price Chopper

I went to the Price Chopper in Roeland Park tonight to buy some bread for el dia de los muertos.  On the way there, I saw a lot of trick-or-treaters being "bussed" in to the area, presumably from KCK.
Are parents generally afraid to let their kids trick-or-treat in KCK?
