Re: favorite under-the-radar mexican places in the kansas city area?

I can't get away from Mission Taco Joint in E Xroads. The Stockyards Brewing Cervezas Royale with their mushroom tacos is killer. And their fresh salsa is fire.

Need to get to the newer south Plaza location before summer is over too.

Re: FSN KC so where do Royals go

Also Blues would need a home to maybe on FSN Midwest Plus. I've been watching Blues hockey on FSMW since they started broadcasting games back in - I think - 1997 or 1998. This better not get screwed up. I'm used to watching around 75-78 games on FSMW and the balance of the schedule on NBC/national ...

My last Blues game was at the Checkerdome. That place was cool!

A rockish version has been surfacing in Twitter in the last day or two. It’s pretty good. I heard it as a lead-in from commercial break in Bernie’s or Wheels’ show this morning.

I can just see the ads now... As soldiers pick themselves up off the battlefield, we'll pick you up!

Nice job Enterprise. Assholes.

Re: NAIA Tournament

The NAIA and Heart of America Athletic Conference have reached a four-year agreement to keep the NAIA men’s basketball tournament in Kansas City through 2024. As previously reported, the extension will encompass the NAIA merging its 94 Division I members and 138 Division II members into a single cl...

Re: GO CHIEFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had the unusual opportunity to attend the Chiefs/Colts game this past Saturday. Club level seats. I had already been in the renovated club area during this past off-season for work stuff, so knew what a treat we were in for. Impressive upgrades and game! KC Snow ballers showed some impressive arm ...

Re: Lions Choice

I can live with or without Braum's and Whataburger. They are good, but in the end, are just more burger options like Culver's and Freddy's. White Castle isn't a hamburger joint, it's White Castle....in a league of it's very own with no competition. Not sure what to make of those other places you men...

Re: Lions Choice

Your son knows what's up! Lion's Choice is the bomb. When visiting family in StL, my son and I have to hit up the trifecta - Shakespeare's Pizza (on the way in CoMo), Lion's Choice and White Castle.

It will be a glorious day if/when White Castle returns to the KC metro.

Re: Lions Choice

The Olathe location was originally scheduled to open in October, but a wetter than normal late summer/early fall has pushed it back to the late Dec date. No doubt this past weekend's snow will push the Dec date back to January.

Lion's Choice in Olathe at 135th/Greenwood is close. They've been slowed mainly by weather, but hope to be operating by end of December.

Re: Casey's

LOL....those people over there are so fussy about everything. I'm surprised the dental building on the southeast corner was built out. They fought that tooth and nail. The fact Aldi was ever built is amazing too.

A new Casey's would push them over the collective edge.

Re: Lenexa CityCenter

I've been playing pickup hockey on the regular for a couple of years at the outdoor rink at Indian Valley Park in OP. The group that coordinates aka Kansas City Ball Hockey on facebook and IG has worked a deal for the group to play indoors at the Lenexa Community Center on Tuesday nights. The court ...
