Re: KCK Gondola
Gondola system in La Paz Bolivia is the coolest thing I've ever been on. The system is huge. Especially useful when walking in a city that is 12000 ft high.

Same kind of bridge here in Portland, and seems to work fine for bikes/pedestrians and streetcars.

Re: OFFICIAL - City Bank Building (Church of Scientology)
A few days back, there was an article about the good church and Clearwater Florida. Apparently, the church has chosen Clearwater as their ground zero. They own some huge hotel and have a big compound in Clearwater. Anyhow, the article details how the church has been buying land and/or businesses wit...

Re: OFFICIAL - Strata (H&R Block's 2nd Tower)
Just think about Washington DC. Max height is 10-12 stories in the city itself. But there are blocks and blocks of 10 story buildings and there is no lack of street activity

Re: 14 Story apartment tower - Westport
The Star reported that another 14? story residential complex being built at Madison/Roanoke and 47th. These are two completely different projects? This seems very dense for KC, not that it's a bad thing.

Re: Troost developments
Hopefully they can integrate some resources for the neighborhood. Doesn't make sense to just plop down overpriced apts, even if along Troost. Maybe something like a farmers market could help improve relationships within the area.

What happens to the tax base now if BNIM decides to bolt for Kansas? Hopefully won't come to that, but you know Kansas is just lurking in the shadows

I thought Barney Allis Plaza was trying to offer more activities for the public. Couldn't this be coordinated with the new YMCA. I would think this would be a great opportunity to bring people together and make BA more of an asset to the public.

Re: GO CHIEFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No. Just less bitching. The Raiders always play the Chiefs tough(regardless of their record) Statistically(HA!) the Raiders were bound for a win, 15 losses in a row? They were going to beat someone, just happened to be the Chiefs. Tough it out. Maybe this will motivate the Chiefs to put up a better ...
