An application for a tenant finish permit came through Compass KC today for the Streetcar Grill & Tavern at 1580 Main.

Here's a streetview of the location.

Re: The Official Kansas City Weather Thread

KCMO is also a lot more spread out than all of the suburbs. JoCo is very compact and in a simple grid making for multiple passes very easy. I find it shocking from the furthest point north to furthest south is like 50 some miles. Not many major cities are that long. Maybe LA but that's about it Sor...

Re: Amazon searching for second HQ

What about all the other secondary businesses that would have been created cause of Amazon, you would have had new restaurants, coffee shops, dry cleaners, bars, etc cause of this Amazon HQ, i feel like the people of NYC messed this up - LIC is kind of a dump with not much housing, it really wasnt g...

Alaskan is upguaging their MCI-San Diego route from an E75(76 seats) to a 737-900(168).
I'm kind of surprised this route is getting a 737 since Southwest runs 1 or 2 nonstops daily and the prices on this route are usually dirt cheap

But it's taxes that were not there. It's not like they were giving out a billion before it started. It was just less taxes when they opened

I'm surprised Air Canada doesn't run more of the Express or Rogue flights seasonally to some of the other hubs to mid tier cities like Kansas City. Would be kind of nice to see an Air Canada Express nonstop to Vancouver or Montreal

Re: High Speed Rail - someday?

Looks like California High Speed Rail is dead and the only line might be in the Central Valley. That's not dead, it's just truncated. It's a realization that state and federal funding hasn't materialized to build the system as proposed. A high speed rail going car centric cities in the Central Vall...

Re: New Restaurants/Other Businesses in Northland

I'm over Braums, the first couple times I fell in love with there Hot Fudge Sundae with the Almonds, the last 3 times have at different locations have all been horrible. The Burgers are Hockey Pucks and kind of gross. Its kind of an average fast food place, above average ice cream and a little mini ...

Re: High Speed Rail - someday?

Looks like California High Speed Rail is dead and the only line might be in the Central Valley. I don't think High Speed Rail is really necessary to connect So Cal to Nor Cal because there are so many flights from the 5 LA Area Airports to the 3 Bay Area Airports and the prices are all super cheap a...

Re: Uptown Theatre district improvements

The Krokstrom thing really blew up in one day, they were booked all weekend and booked even next weekend. An article popped up KCUR about the message they posted. I honestly think its not the weather, there is just too much competition and there is gonna be a big correction coming, I am having troub...

If you are a business interested in making money in Westport. If you have to stay open until 2:30 to make enough money, you’re not a very good businessperson and if you’re main clientele is wasted drunk guys and spurned gun toters wanting to shoot up the neighborhood, you’re no better than a check ...

We are just waiting for Tim Horton's,Milio's Sandwich Shop and so on to announce locations. Wait a sec... I know this quote is two years old, but do you have any reason to think Milio's is expanding down here? I loved Milio's when I lived in Wisconsin. And speaking of Wisconsin, don't expect Shopko...

Re: Would you like to see the Royals move to a downtown stadium?

Its amazing that ATT park and the new Warriors Arena are privately financed stadiums/arenas in one of the most expensive cities in the world. I'm sure SF paid for infrastructure improvements and gave them some of the land but any kind of privately financed stadium/arena in the Midwest will most defi...

Re: Downtown Mission/ The Gateway

I was thinking would these kind of projects slowly eat away at the Apartments in the Urban Core? A walkable mixed use place 10 minutes from major employment centers (Cerner, St Lukes, KU Med) is going to look awfully attractive to a young professional. They don't have to worry about paying a 1% tax,...

Re: Lions Choice

The Google Reviews seem to be very mixed. The biggest complaint is the portion size but that is pretty typical for Midwestern people since we value quantity over quality. I've never been disappointed in the portion size even at the ones in St Louis. I would say it's probably better to just get 2 san...

Re: Plaza move-ins (ongoing)

Larkburger is pulling out of KC. 4800 Main is going to look super empty now, I hope a local place comes in, i honestly think its a perfect spot for Q39. We're at a point where gourmet burger joints are a dime a dozen and there's not much you can do to separate yourself from the competition. With th...
