Re: Politics

If Beto loses does he have a chance to run as president in 2020? He seems like the best compromise between establishment democrats and Bernie democrats. I just don't see any other strong candidate by the left that can unite them. He seems to have enthusiasm nationwide even though he probably won't w...

They will probably open a food hall to jump on that trend on one level and a tap room on another level

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments

Austin is getting non stop to Frankfurt via Lufthansa. Don't understand why Austin is getting all these European non stops considering (3rd or 4th nonstop now) they have 2 massive airports within 3.5 hours of each other and pretty sure United and American run flights like every hour to Houston and D...

I always thought it was odd he ran since he was doing so many other great things, I am really sad about this and hope we see Kander in a couple years, i really think he is a bright spot in the progressive side of democrats

Re: Parlor - 1707 Locust

I think its pretty overrated, it felt like a Hipster Circle Jerk to me and if you weren't in that circle jerk then the service was subpar. Why do we always screw this stuff up? Our Food Truck Culture is half assed and lets not forget about the Little Piggy Foot Lot Failure I honestly think Parlor co...

Re: Parlor - 1707 Locust

Glad I went Thursday. I went thursday as well but it seemed odd because on Thursday a bunch of the vendors were out of items and it wasn't busy. You would think they would have fixed that by the Grand Opening. Some food stalls probably left Thousands in Profit by not stocking up over the weekend - ...

reminds me of those weird hybrid suburban developments that are trying to emulate "city living."
That should be the Motto of Kansas City - "Hybrid Suburban City trying to Emulate City Living while saving surface lot parking"

Re: Parlor - 1707 Locust

I've only eat at the Swedish place. So far but 20 bucks for a smaller sausage and fries seems a bit steep. How are the other place prices? I still can't get over that price for the Hot Dog at the Swedish stall. 11 Bucks for a fairly skinny hot dog without any fries, it did look pretty though. For t...

Re: Parlor - 1707 Locust

I just had a chance to try Parlor. 25 bucks for half gizzards and bowl of yakisoba. Loved the yakisoba $12 + tip) but couldn't eat the gizzards, way too big and chewy. I love the go chicken go ones but not these. Overall I would go back for a drink but think I would skip the food. The price point on...

Re: Uptown Shoppes

This is the 3rd Proposed Mixed Use development to pop up in this area over the last 5 years, will this one actually get built? The Old MGE building was supposed to be done years ago. The Law Office Building at Linwood/Wyandotte was supposed to be some kind of mixed use project as well and now we hav...

How does this concept compare with the thing out in Lenexa? They have a similar concept, i just don't know how popular it is or if the restaurants are any good.

Thats kind of disapointing, you would think they would just copy the happy hour pricing at Krokstrom, i think its like 5 bucks for the smaller street dog.

The hotel will be right on the corner across from the Uptown, and be maybe 4 stories? I can't remember exactly.
It would be nice if we could get a hotel like the Moonrise in St Louis for this location

It never really seemed like a KC Tradition to me. I felt like its always been a "Who u know" event that didn't give a shit about the public or community but if know people in the Royal then its probably amazing.
