Re: Uptown Shoppes

I don't understand why Papa Murphy's closed, it always seemed busy when I went in. It was a great business for midtown, sad to see it gone. Maybe rents skyrocketed or something.

Re: We need a new airport!!!

I sure hope that every time anyone in this thread mentions "Hub" they're NOT talking about a specific airlines hub, and are actually meaning to say "More flights" in general. An actual single airline "Hub" would be one of the worst things to ever happen to KC and KCI! ...

Re: We need a new airport!!!

I have a hard time believing this airport redesign will cost under 1 billion. If you look at past history of recent airports they are all going way over budget. The redesign in SLC has gone over a billion from its original estimate. The brand new airport in Berlin I believe has gone overbudget by li...

Re: Midtown Area Apartment Boom

Development and business will boom. It's a true irony that people complain about traffic and surface parking. The ability to free yourself from your car is such a selling point and it will draw so many people and businesses to the line. https://i.pinimg.com/originals/f5/f5/5f/f5f55f663e383c23747dba...

3260 Main developers are also talking about redeveloping the Mattress Store site at 38th and Main and making a mixed use development similar to 3260 Main. If this happens I really think it will cause a domino affect and other stuff starts going away like the shady Shell Station and hopefully the Pla...

Having to cross SW trafficway was kind of a pain. Maybe just have it all in roanoake next year would be better. Thought it was a little too spread out this year.

Re: Amazon searching for second HQ

The reason why I think the greenfield pitch is bad because we are going to have to bring workers in to make this work and a good majority will be young. Also a lot of Sunbelt cities are going to have huge greenfield spots and they are all going to have better transportation/airport options and a dee...

What a fricking joke and disgrace they are pitching ugly/crap locations. I am really hoping Detroit or Chicago lands this 2nd HQ now and show these surban leaders what urban renewal is all about.

Re: We need a new airport!!!

The Threat of Kansas taking the airport should be an angle the city should play to sway voters. The Entire Northland would probably vote yes if that was the case.

Re: We need a new airport!!!

If the Airport vote fails, do you think there is a good chance that the airport moves to Kansas? I wish the city would play this angle, there is more at stake then just convenience, most of the hotels and restaurants and other businesses that have to do with the airport would all end up closing up a...

How do you find it different? I feel like KC pulls influences from all over the Midwest and even Dallas/OKC which aren't really in any kind of category
